But the 68th Cannes Film Festival marks Aishwarya Rai's big movie comeback, with the stunning Bollywood actress promoting her new film Jazbaa at a photocall on Tuesday.
The 41-year-old actress and model turned the daytime photocall into a very glam affair, thanks to her red carpet worthy strapless gown.

The ruby red number showed of Aishwarya's tiny waist with the figure hugging bodice featuring a sweetheart neckline.
The dress flowed into a full tiered skirt with dropped to the floor, while the actress showed off the sheer, black back of the gorgeous gown when she turned for the cameras.

Jazbaa is Aishwarya's first film in five years, following 2010's Guzaarish. She took a step back from her movie career to spend time with her daughter Aaradhya, now four.

There has been huge anticipation surrounding Jazbaa, which is still filming, with director Sanjay Gupta sharing the first poster on Twitter on Tuesday, leading to the film's title trending worldwide.
The gritty poster for the action drama is a world away from Aishwarya's glam photocall look, with the disheveled actress shown collapsed on the ground.
The actress has been making the most of her time at the 2015 Cannes Film Festival, hitting the premiere of Carol, the drama expected to win the coveted Palme d'Or prize, on Sunday with her L'Oreal pal Eva Longoria.
