Just a little flutter: Rita Ora hits the gambling tables as she heads to Las Vegas to see Mariah Carey in concert

She decided to make a weekend of her trip to Las Vegas ahead of Sunday's Billboard Music Awards.

So on Saturday, Rita played regular tourist as she enjoyed a spot of gambling and took in a show.

The British pop star was spotted enjoying a flutter on the tables at Caesar's Palace ahead of seeing Mariah Carey's new residency.

The Hot Right Now singer was spotted with a pile of chips as she sat at one of the tables in the iconic casino.

It looked like she had got rid of her braids - which she had spotted upon her arrival in Nevada's Sin City - and had opted for long glossy blonde hair.

The 24-year-old certainly cut a glamorous figure in the casino in a black sheer dress and her signature red lipstick.

With her celebrity status, it was no surprise to see Rita managed to sneak backstage and meet Mariah after her show at the Colosseum.

Posting a photo of herself with Mariah on her Instagram, Rita gushes: 'So it happened yeeeeeaaahhhhhh baby great show @mariahcarey ain't nobody wearing those diamonds like you ❤️❤️.'

Saturday marked a return to the stage for Mariah, who had to cancel Wednesday's show on doctor's orders after falling ill with bronchitis.

However, she was given the all-clear to sing on Saturday and certainly impressed given Rita's verdict.

Both Mariah and Rita are due to attend the Billboard Music Awards at the MGM Grand Garden Arena on Sunday evening.

Mariah is performing a song, while Rita is due to present an award.

Rather awkwardly, Rita's ex Calvin Harris is also due to attend with his new girlfriend Taylor Swift.

Scots DJ Calvin and Taylor, who have been dating since February, are expected to be placed on the same rota, but two seats apart, according to TMZ.com.

Meanwhile, pop star Joe Jonas was also spotted having a flutter in the same casino on Saturday night.
