Daisy Lowe poses as a sexy Seventies air hostess for British Airways magazine

Vintage queen Daisy Lowe loves to pose in retro clothes so the model was the perfect choice for the anniversary cover of the British Airways High Life magazine.
The 24-year-old appears in the latest issue wearing a classic 1970s uniform from the company, who are celebrating 40 years of their jet setting magazine this year.
With a pill box hat perched upon the side of her head, a crisp white collar and navy tailored jacket, the model channels nostalgic TV show Pan Am in an authentic BA uniform from 1973.
'There's such a feeling of glamour that surrounds air hostesses,' says model Daisy, who was photographed in the vintage uniform by legendary fashion photographer Rankin.
‘It's difficult to think of another profession that has such a clear-cut image.'

'Even the early designs seem familiar,' adds Lowe, seen on the previous page wearing a navy blazer trimmed with a wide-set collar and red contrast stitching.
‘They're smart but feminine, and formal without being too stuffy.'
The uniforms of the 70s mirrored what was going on not only in womenswear more generally but also in the daily lives of women in the UK and beyond.
The women's liberation movement, just then breaking into its political stride, had freed up women from their roles in the home and created opportunities for them in the world of work.
Today the British Airways High Life magazine features destination inspiration, travel tips from celebrity jet-setters, trendy restaurants, hot hotels and must-see sights.

Lowe recently promoted WWF's global Earth Hour by letting her face become a canvas.
The model had her face painted with a flower blooming over her eye from cracked earth etched on her shoulder to pose for the striking picture, also taken by photographer Rankin.
The shoot was held to promote Earth Hour on Saturday, 23 March, when people around the world are encouraged to turn off their lights for one hour, to show they care about the future of our planet.
