When the first photos emerged of her glittering on the Strictly dance floor, it looked like Susanna Reid was set to be a dazzling contestant in the upcoming series.
But as she left the rehearsal studio on Friday it was a different story for the presenter, who appeared sweaty and tired after practicing a routine with her dance partner Kevin Clifton.
Wearing skin-tight grey leggings and a baggy vest, Miss Reid, 42, walked from her training session clutching a cup of coffee and a sandwich.

Her feet, which are no doubt aching from long hours practicing, were in flip-flops despite the overcast weather and she had scraped her hair into an untidy top knot.
And with just five days to go before the competition begins, the intensive Strictly training schedule, which is believed to equate to 12 hours a week, would appear to be taking its toll with her eyes showing signs of fatigue.
It was a far cry from Miss Reid’s official Strictly photograph, in which she wears a figure-flattering dress with a jewelled bodice top and full skirt.
For that her hair had been styled into immaculate curls and she accessorised with large sparkling earrings.

The pictures were taken days after Miss Reid appeared to flirt with Artic Monkeys band member Alex Turner on her BBC breakfast show last week.
She toyed with her hair and giggled before telling him: ‘I bet you look good on the dance floor.’
Strictly Come Dancing, which is in its 11th series, began two weeks ago with a red carpet premier show.
Miss Reid is joined in the competition by 14 other celebrities and their partners, including former England rugby player Ben Cohen and former Celebrity Big Brother star Vanessa Feltz.
