The TV presenter wore a gold sequined and black gown which showed off her slim back as she arrived ina vintage car with co-host Sir Bruce Forsyth.
Arm-in-arm, Tess, 44,  and Bruce, 85, set the formal standard as celebrities arrived for the dancing competition opening TV special.

The Northern former model, wore her blonde hair in a side-parting, letting her shiny locks fall in loose waves down her left shoulder.
Tess used a thick line of eyeliner on each eye to accentuate the length of her lashes and opted for a neutral lip colour that helped her skin glow.
With just a simple gold band on her wrist and matching dangling earrings, Daley finished off the metallic look with a pair of peep-toe heels that shined from under her black skirt.
