'Our mums are our best friends': Cheryl Cole and the Girls Aloud gals get soppy in new video ahead of Mother's Day
Cheryl Cole, Nadine Coyle and Kimberley Walsh are three fifths of one of the world's most famous girl bands.
And while they are currently dazzling the UK with their show-stopping reunion arena tour, the songstresses are all looking forward to the weekend, when they can spend some quality time with the most important people in their lives: their mums.
With Mother's Day fast approaching, three Girls Aloud singers have opened up about exactly what their mums mean to them to coincide with their current tour sponsor Pandora's Mother's Day jewellery collection.
Mum's the word: Girls Aloud opened up about what exactly their mothers mean to them in this Pandora video, Cheryl Cole described hers as her best friend
Speaking in the exclusive video, 27-year-old Nadine said of her mother Lillian: 'Me and my mum have such a good relationship, it's such a special friendship that it's like best friends, I would do everything with my mum.
'She's great, just like my best friend,' she added.
As for Cheryl Cole, 29, the rule is where you find Cheryl, there you will also find her mother Joan Callaghan.
Joan, a diminutive figure who is even shorter than her 5ft 3ins daughter, has been sharing Cheryl’s high life for years now.
People who know Cheryl say that without her mother she would not be able to cope.
‘I’ve come to the conclusion that I don’t trust anybody in life except my mother and my dogs. I love having her there,’ Cheryl once told an interviewer.
Speaking in the Pandora video, Cheryl said: 'I think when you think of the word mother, you think of everything that is a good feeling: safe, supportive, cherished; the most beautiful things.
'I have the most amazing relationship with my mother and she's been more like a friend to me over the years than a mother, so I also see her as a best friend; she's everything.'
31-year-old Kimberley Walsh also spoke extremely fondly of her mother Diane.
Family support: There's no doubt that the girl's mothers have been to watch them in their reunion tour
Back on stage: The band, who found fame on Popstars: The Rivals have wowed the crowds in recent performances
Descending from the heavens: The popstars are lowered from the roof of the arena under a huge sign saying Girls Aloud
'My mum is such an amazing person and an unbelievable mum.
'I do miss her a lot because obviously she lives up north but neither of us can go very long without seeing each other so one of us is always making the journey up the M1 to make sure that we see each other.
'I always just feel really content whenever I am with her because it's like, you've got your mum,' she said.
There is no doubt that the girl's mothers have been supporting them during their sell-out Ten reunion tour, which has wowed fans across the country since it opened a fortnight ago in Newcastle.
