'Jennifer Metcalfe's friends sent me vile tweets': Samia Ghadie and Sylvain Longchambon finally admit they are in love

Samia Ghadie and her Dancing On Ice partner Sylvain Longchambon have spoken out for the first time to finally confirm what everyone suspected - they are officially an item.

Seizing the opportunity to put to rest rumours their romance was responsible for the end of Sylvain's relationship with Hollyoaks pin-up Jennifer Metcalfe, the pair opened up to OK! magazine.

In the cover story and interview Samia revealed she was 'targeted' on Twitter by actress Jennifer's friends.

Opening up: The pair have given their first couple interview to this week's OK! magazine

She told OK!: 'A few of Jennifer's friends targeted me on Twitter and sent the most vile tweets you can ever imagine... I knew that I hadn't done anything wrong.'

'People thought we had been having an affair behind her back that I had stolen her man, and it absolutely wasn't true.'

Samia, who is seen on the cover dressed in lingerie, with a bare-chested Sylvain hugging her protectively, is adamant that neither her nor Sylvain ever cheated on their former partners - going on to explain in detail how they got together.

Sylvain has even admitted: 'It is love,' revealing how serious they have become over the last four months since meeting in November in a professional capacity.

The Coronation Street actress told OK!, 'We can finally say that we are together,' and added that they're hoping to 'live a normal life' after giving the interview, hoping to even be able to hold hands in public now they've had their say.

And one thing she was adamant in clearing up is when the relationship with Sylvain began - and whether it was while he was still with actress Jennifer Metcalfe, who he split from over Christmas.

The Coronation Street star said: 'I just wanted to scream out that we've not done anything wrong. We have not cheated. We have not stolen anybody from anyone else.

'What should Sylvain have done? Should he have stayed with Jennifer even if he wasn't happy?

To coincide with their public declaration of love for each other, in pictures which will no doubt make Jennifer wince, the pair flaunted their feelings in intimate pictures.

In the photoshoot at Peckforton Castle in Cheshire, the pair also posed with huge grins in a variety of outfits in spots around the venue.

In one image Samia looked into Sylvain's eyes as they hold hands, while in another they playfully stood on some steps as the actress put her arms around her strapping man.

And in the final picture they look a picture of happiness as Samia sits on Sylvain's lap as they wear their evening outfits and gaze at each other once more.

Samia split from her boyfriend, actor Will Thorp, shortly before she signed up to Dancing On Ice and has revealed everyone thought she was still with him at the start of the skating series because they hadn't gone public with the split.

In the interview the pair also reveal Samia has introduced Sylvain to her daughter Freya in the last few days - after they decided they were officially a couple.

And the pair even hint they're thinking of moving in together, while Samia insists she 'still believes in marriage'.

The actress divorced property developer husband and father of her daughter Matthew Smith in 2011.

Getting serious: Samia insists they've taken things slowly but in the last few days has introduced Sylvain to her daughter Freya from her previous marriage
