But on Saturday night it was a completely different story for Nicole Kidman, who ramped up the glamour several notches.
The Hollywood star was the belle of the ball, quite literally, as she showed up to the Omega 'La Nuit Enchantee' gala in Wien, Austria.

The 45-year-old went for a daring sheer floolength gown which gave off the illusion she was naked underneath.
Nicole sauntered along the red carpet in the stunning dress with black embellished detailing covering up her modesty.
Looking elegant, she finished off her glamorous look with her hair worn down in a long wavy bob.

She added to the glamour with a slick of red lipstick while she carried a clutch bag at the lavish venue.
And Kidman, of course, had a watch on her wrist - no doubt from Omega themselves.
The Australian actress has previously appeared in promotional campaigns as the face of the watch brand.

More recently, however, she has been concentrating on work for her new movie project.
The usually glamorous 45-year-old looked somewhat dowdy in a large coat and minimal makeup as she filmed scenes for the new psychological thriller on Thursday in the English countryside.
So it's no wonder she looked so content glammed up for the bash on Saturday night.
The film, which also stars Colin Firth, is about a woman - played by Nicole - with amnesia who wakes up everyday remembering nothing, until one say she starts realising some terrible truths that force her to question those close to her.
