They're both prolific faces on the glamorous London social scene.

And Gemma Arterton and Laura Whitmore injected some effortless elegance to the Audi Polo Challenge at Coworth Park, Berkshire, on Sunday.

Actress Gemma, 30, and TV presenter Laura, 31, made the most of the sunshine in stylish summery ensembles.

The former Bond star looked pretty in pastel high-waisted trousers featuring unusual slits which showed off her strappy silver sandals.

Gemma wore a simple white vest tucked into her trousers, accessorising with a pastel Mulberry clutch.

The brunette kept her glossy locks in a simple sleek bob and showed off her natural beauty under minimal make-up.

The British star was seen mingling with her 27-year-old sister Hannah - also an actress, and Game of Thrones actress Eline Powell.

Walking On Sunshine star Hannah looked pretty in pink in a loose summer dress with ruffled sleeves, completing her relaxed look with gold sandals and feathery earrings.

Like her sister, she wore minimal make-up, tying her blonde hair in a loose ponytail.

Meanwhlie, Eline - who plays Bianca in GoT, looked radiant in a printed tea dress, accessorising with nude sandals and a clutch.

The GoT matched her bold drop earrings to her red lipstick, tying her brunette hair into a low ponytail revealing her glowing complexion.

Gemma also posed alongside Captain America star Dominic Cooper and Jon Zammett, Head of PR for Audi UK - both looking dapper in smart suits.

Gemma is currently starring as Nell Gwynn in the West End's Apollo Theatre, a role she has received much praise for.

The 31-year-old Irish presenter completed the look with gold sandals and a nude clutch.

Keeping her make-up light, she wore a red lip and an impressive set of lashes. 

The MTV star posed alongside TV cook Gizzi Erskine, who wore a blue shirt dress boasting a white statement collar, along with star-print loafers and a cute box bag.

Laura has reportedly been shortlisted for Big Brother’s Bit On The Side star, after announcing she’d quit I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here Now! last month.

Also in attendance was Scottish singer Nina Nesbitt, who looked every inch the stylish star in a sheer white floral dress with edgy round sunglasses and strappy black heels.

The attractive couple wowed, with Jack looking handsome in a navy suit and sunglasses, whilst Gemma wore a pretty white lace dress.

Meanwhle, The Quiet Ones actor Laurie Calvert posed alongside Abigail Johns, both looking rock-chic.

Laurie sported a black Nirvana T-shirt, ripped jeans and a studded jacket, while Abigail wore a black strappy dress with a thigh-high slit and cute polka dot heels.

The stars were out in force to watch Princes William and Harry play in the first match of the Polo Challenge.

The royals are raising money for Sentebale, Tusk, The Royal Marsden and WellChild and have raised £9.5million for charities through various polo tournaments since 2007.

It was perhaps one of the most meaningful music events of the year so far, and stars such as Katherine Jenkins, Pixie Lott and Alfie Boe among many others were out in force to help celebrate the 70th anniversary of VE Day on Saturday.

The special concert, hosted by Chris Evans, was held at Horse Guards Parade at Whitehall in London to honour the landmark event seven decades after the end of the second world war in Europe.

And opera singer Katherine - who is currently pregnant with her first child - led the way at the VE Day 70: A Party to Remember event.

The Welsh superstar arrived on the stage with a huge smile on her face as she held a hand to her growing tum, in front of thousands of onlookers who had come out to commemorate the landmark day.

And she looked sensational as she graced the stage, wowing in a vintage black gown that swept the floor as she stepped.

Featuring little lace sleeves and a wrapover detail, the garment was perfectly fitting for the event, which had an overarching 1940s theme to honour the occasion.

While the 34-year-old mezzo-soprano is in the early stages of her pregnancy, she still revealed a small yet growing tum, visible thanks to the empire-line detail of the dress.

Her blonde locks were coiffed into a gorgeous side-swept style, reminiscent of the World War II era, and she finished her on-stage look with a slick of scarlet red lipstick. 

Katherine -  who is expecting her first child later this year with husband Andrew Levitas - gave her thousands of fans on social media a sneak peek at her retro look earlier in the day, ahead of the concert, which was aired live on BBC1.

Also taking to the stage was fellow singer Pixie Lott, who also impressed the crowd with her vocals while being accompanied by the big band.

Celebrities look back at 1945 in VE Day: Remembering Victory

She too rocked a look that would have fit in perfectly in 1945, a super-glitzy floor-length black dress, while injecting extra elegance to her performance look with the 24-year-old's long blonde locks twisted up into a war-time hairstyle.

And there was a quick change later on for the Mama Do hitmaker, as she swapped her gown for a typical war-time army get-up to team up with singers Rebecca Ferguson and Laura Wright to put on a show worthy of 1940s American singing group The Andrews Sisters. 

The talented trio looked marvellous in their historial costumes, complete with beige pencil skirts, khaki shirts, ties, belts and hats.

All-change: During the two-hour long show, Pixie changed into a typical war-time army outfit as she hit the stage once again

Of their short performance, they sang the classic Andrews Sisters hit Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy, pleasing the music revellers as the concert reached fever pitch. 

The audience at the concert was also treated to a performance by rockstar legends Status Quo, and soprano singer Laura White, who dazzled full-length white glittery dress with feathers down the skirt.

The Strictly Come Dancing dancers delighted the crowds with an upbeat performance, and British comedy and acting legend Robert Lindsay read out the touching VE Day Winston Churchill speech.

'Love you RBL!' Earlier in the day, Laura had professed her adoration for the Royal British Legion on Instagram, who hosted the monumental concert

As well as the star-studded performances, concert-goers were also able to see the veterans parade and the changing of The Queen's Life Guard by the Household Cavalry Mounted Regiment.

Three days of festivities - which began on Friday - are being held to mark the anniversary, seven decades after the announcement that Germany had offered the unconditional surrender to the Allies that brought about the end of the war in Europe.

On Sunday, around 1,000 veterans and their families will join members of the royal family, politicians, members of the Armed Forces and representatives of the Allied nations and Commonwealth countries that fought alongside Britain for a service of thanksgiving at Westminster Abbey.

A parade of bands, veterans and current servicemen and women will then make their way from the abbey along Whitehall - past the balcony where Churchill made a historic speech before vast crowds - before a reception for veterans in St James's Park hosted by the Legion, where there will also be vehicles from the 1940s.

On Saturday afternoon, there was also a fly-past over central London by the Red Arrows, following a fly-by of aircraft that helped Britain and its Allies win the war - the Lancaster bomber and Spitfire and Hurricane fighters.

Trafalgar Square was decked out with bunting and the ensigns of each of the Armed Forces on Sunday, and the Band of the Grenadier Guards will perform music from the era opposite Nelson's Column.

Leigh-Anne Pinnock would certainly be invited back for one of the high society engagements at 1920s Downton.

The brunette beauty put on an elegant display on Thursday night as she attended the Downton Abbey Ball in a black peplum evening gown.

Little Mix singer Leigh-Anne, 23, proved she had all of the grace of the other house guests as she joined the famous ITV cast at London's lavish Savoy Hotel.

Scarlet-lipped Leigh-Anne was drawing special attention to her incredible waist with the strapless full-length number.

She created an hourglass figure with petal detail at the middle and let the fitted dress skirt over her enviable form.

Leigh-Anne wore her hair up in a fuss-free 'do and added a slick of striking red lipstick to help her set off the dinner party outfit.

And while Downton stars Laura Carmichael, 28, and Elizabeth McGovern, 53, are used to a TV wardrobe of fabulous ball gowns for Downton's various engagements, they also picked faithful black dresses.

There was of course, a certain standard to be met on Thursday night but the ITV show's leading ladies met the challenge in ultra-glamorous evening choices.

Held on behalf Centrepoint charity, the charity event saw the ladies of the Abbey slip into slinky black dresses on the night to uphold the glamour of the period drama.

It was set to be a suitably fabulous event as the famous hotel laying on a lavish fine dining and even a Downton Cabaret, performed by the cast.

The actresses were certainly razzle-dazzling on the night, with Laura - who plays Lady Edith Crawley in the ITV show - putting on an effortlessly elegant display in a two tiered dress.

The one-shoulder number cut into sultry side splits and skimmed neatly over her shape to reveal caged heels on her feet.

Meanwhile, her on-screen mother Elizabeth - more commonly known as Lady Cora Crawley - wore a sensational sequin number.

The 53-year-old was confident in the cowl-neck gown, that swept the floor as she made quite the entrance on Thursday night.

She kept her hair in a familiar 1920s style - the era in which fans last left Downton - with it curled about her ears in a bob, with a statement clip on one side.

Fans of the show were able to purchase tickets for £500 for the fundraising event, which is in aid of homeless charity Centrepoint.

They were also able to see a different side to their favourite stars, with characters including Robert Crawley (Hugh Bonneville), Charles Carson (Jim Carter) and Thomas Barrow (Rob James-Collier) in their more modern finery for the night.

Hugh couldn't resist a few pictures with work wife Elizabeth, who plays the lady to his man of the house in the popular drama.
