ECSTATIC bra tycoon Michelle Mone was “delighted and thrilled” when she learned she is to be made a Tory peer.

The 43-year-old Ultimo undies boss told pals she was overjoyed at the prospect of becoming Lady Mone and taking a seat in the Lords.

But she will not have to face bra-wearing Lord Sewel, who quit in disgrace last week.

The Glasgow-born tycoon, now worth millions after starting her business in a bedroom, was told the news personally in a phone call from PM David Cameron.

The Tories want to make the former Ultimo underwear boss a business czar as a reward for backing the “No” vote against Scottish independence last year.

Tory voter Michelle — who already holds the OBE — left school at 15 with no qualifications and built her global lingerie empire from scratch.

Mr Cameron revealed last week he wants to appoint more Tory peers to parliament’s second chamber.

A source said: “Michelle is thrilled and delighted. She proves strong, independent women in business have a vital role to play in our economy.

“And she will bring something new to the stuffy Lords. It needs shaking up.”

The mum of three met her husband Michael at 17, got engaged at 18 and was pregnant at 19.

The couple began their business in 1996 and launched the first Ultimo bra, with its gel-filled “chicken fillet” padding, in 1999.

But they split in 2011 and it later emerged he was in a relationship with a designer at their bra firm.

Michelle later bought out her husband’s share of Ultimo’s parent company MJM International.

She shed 8st after a fitness kick and has been linked to a string of celebs including cricketer Shane Warne, pop star Shayne Ward and footballer Robbie Savage.

Last November she revealed she had sold 80 per cent of her stake in Ultimo. She also sold a £2million house she had in London’s swish Mayfair and is now living near Tower Bridge.

Michelle recounted her story in the autobiography My Fight To The Top — a book dismissed as “total fiction” by ex Michael.

Downing Street declined to comment last night.

She's beautiful, giving and from the look of her airbrushed - and unretouched shots - Petra Nemcova is naturally absolutely flawless.

No wonder the 5ft 10in Czech-born model, 35, has been announced as the new face of Ultimo underwear's spring/summer 2015 campaign.

She replaces a pregnant Abbey Clancy, and it's evident from her pictures that she needs no improvement.

The new campaign features Petra showing off a series of stunning designs which are available in sizes A to G cups, priced from £12 for briefs and £24 for bras.

The pictures have been released just in time for Valentine's Day.

Petra said: 'I’m thrilled to be the new face of Ultimo, following in the footsteps of so many beautiful women.

'I adore Ultimo lingerie – it feels amazing on the skin and is incredibly stylish and seductive.'

In one shot, Petra poses in the Black Label Sophia set of vintage-inspired lace and sheer bra, £35, and matching high-waisted knickers, £18.

The picture is shot against a wood panelled wall, with a Champagne-coloured shrug falling seductively off her shoulder.

Ultimo released both the picture of Petra before the picture was retouched and afterwards. The most remarkable thing about the two images is their sheer similarity.

While the colour is brighter in the 'after' image and her skin tone and hair appear warmer, Petra's body and her proportions appear to be exactly the same.

The rest of the images have the same casually seductive feel.

In one picture, Petra leans against a French window, in the mulberry pink Jessie set of lace laid on to gold fabric.

The bra cup also includes a secret sling that promises to banish the 'double boob' effect.

In the Ana, she perches on the edge of the bed wearing the black mesh bra which features extra straps over both cups and a diamante feature at the centre of the Brazilian pants.

Petra's Ultimo predecessor is Abbey Clancy, the Strictly Come Dancing champion and model, currently five months pregnant with her second child.

She revealed her feelings about her changing body in to The Times yesterday.

She said: ‘One part of your brain is going, 'Oh my God, I'm so blessed, it's a miracle', and the other half is going, 'I can't bear this, I'm so fat, I'm ugly, I've got headaches, I've got spots, I feel sick.’

When Petra was announced as the new face - and body - of the brand, the company's founder Michelle Mone said: 'I'm thrilled to announce that Petra is the new face and body of Ultimo.

As well as being beautiful and multi-lingual, Petra is also known for her charity work.

After survived the 2004 tsunami in which her fiance tragically died, she founded the Happy Hearts Fund in 2005 which builds schools in disaster-hit areas.

She married the man with the longest limbs in football.

But it seems Abbey Clancy is the only woman with the legs to rival husband Peter Crouch after she stretched out her physique on the Dubai coast line for a seriously sexy photo shoot recently.

Abbey, 28, was the perfect person to model a new swimwear range, showing off a zip-down bikini top and barely-there bottoms to incredible effect.

But it wasn't the two-piece bikini that was turning heads on the beach, but instead Abbey's incredible sculpted physique.

She looked leggy stepping out of the sea, cutting picture-perfect angles before stretching out on the sands to put her lingerie model body on show.

The mum of one smouldered with sea water curls around her shoulders and a set of retro goggles, drawing comparisons with Bond Girl Ursula Andress.

The famous beach scene was reimagined with a Lisa Marie Fernandez bikini in black, which she zipped down to reveal her cleavage.

Abbey, who rose to fame as a contestant on Britain & Ireland's Next Top Model, has a background in dancing to thank for her lean physique, growing up with professional training and last year working hard to become the Strictly Come Dancing champion.

Now that a new batch of dancers are on their way to glory, Abbey has been keeping up with this year's competition as Pixie Lott, Frankie Bridge and Caroline Flack battle it out to steal her crown for Queen of the dancerfloor this season.

Proving she's still got one eye on the show, the model recently showed her support for presenter Zoe Ball who stood in for Claudia Winkleman, tweeting 'Looking hot @ZoeTheBall !! Loving having you on @bbcstrictly xx'

She has managed to maintain the support for the current title holder in the Crouch household, with Peter recently telling the Mirror, that there was something missing this year.

He confessed: 'I've been watching the show and Frankie's doing really well. I haven't had a chance to watch it with Abbey yet because I'm always at football.

'It's good, but there's obviously something missing this year!'

Ultimo has created a range of party-ready bras and who better to model them that lingerie-loving Abbey Clancy?

The mother-of-one showcases her toned physique as she models the new range of bras.

The new collection features three problem-solving products, including the low back body, the low back bra and the strapless 'wear 5 ways' multi-way, all of which Abbey models to perfection as the face of the brand.

Michelle Mone OBE, founder of Ultimo, said: 'Getting your foundation right is just important as the dress itself.

'The new Ultimo collection offers women the chance to perfect their party look, whilst also boosting their cleavage and confidence.'

Ironically, Abbey confessed to Grazia recently that she never wore a bra until she was 16.

She said: 'I only got my first bra when I was about 16 - I was still in thermal vests up until then, I was completely flat chested. Then all of a sudden I grew these humongous breasts.

'I've got a long relationship with underwear - I'd go so far as to say I've got a lingerie fetish. I think it's the first thing - the key thing - to make you feel good.'

This isn't the model's only coup this month - Abbey, 27, was unveiled as the new face of Avon fragrance and invited her 53-year-old mother to star alongside her.

The mother-daughter-duo look more like sisters in the new promotional images for the fragrance, Cherish, which launches just in time for Mother's Day.

The mother and daughter campaign stars are firm friends and Abbey often invites Karen to accompany her at showbiz parties.

Referring to Karen shortly after the birth of her own daughter in 2011, Abbey said: 'I weigh less than I weighed before I had the baby and I'm really happy with my figure.

'I'm lucky to be blessed with good genes. My mum is 51 and hasn't had any work done, but still looks like she could be my sister. She's a goddess.'

Clearly feeling the love for her family this month, Abbey last week expressed her devotion to her husband Peter Crouch by sharing a heart-warming picture on Instagram of him cuddling their three-year-old daughter Sophia on Sunday evening.

The sweet black-and-white snap shows the Stoke City striker lying on their wooden floor with their little girl lying on top of him and laughing.

The 28-year-old model proudly added the caption, 'My world', alongside the Instagram picture when she shared it with her 335k Twitter followers.

The Avon and Ultimo campaigns are the latest in a string of successes for the model and WAG, who also designs a range for Matalan and was unveiled as the face of Veet and Scholl earlier this year.

As the countdown continues for the start of the latest series of I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!, speculation is mounting over who will be battling it out in the jungles of Australia.

And TOWIE's Gemma Collins, 33, and TV personality Melanie Sykes, 44, have become the latest stars linked to the show, with sources telling the Daily Mirror that they've been added to the cast in a last-minute shake-up.

An insider told the publication: 'Mel and Gemma are two great names who will be very familiar to ITV viewers. Both of them are not slow in coming forward in conversations and have been photographed in bikinis before, so they tick lots of boxes for the jungle.

'We're juggling things around but confident that we are going to get a great mix in time for the show.'

Sources add that the ladies could head to Australia as soon as Sunday, a week before the latest series begins broadcasting.

In announcing her plans to make the current series of Geordie Shore her last, Vicky Pattison, 26, also appeared to be hinting at plans to sweat it out in the sweltering jungle.

Credentials: Melanie has enjoyed a long career in TV, while TOWIE star Gemma recently completed on Splash!

In a video announcement about her exit, she said that after all she has experienced in the controversial MTV reality show, encountering a few creepy crawlies holds no fear.

And Hollyoaks star Gemma Merna, 30, has also been linked to the show - although she didn't sound too keen when asked about it last year.

When asked about her thoughts on I'm A Celebrity, Gemma told the Daily Mirror: 'I don’t know if I could cope with all the creepy crawlies on I’m A Celebrity.

When contacted by MailOnline, a representative for Gemma Collins declined to comment. MailOnline has contacted representatives for Melanie Sykes and Gemma Merna for comment.

Meanwhile, it was recently revealed that her popular Hollyoaiks character Carmel McQueen is set for a dramatic exit when she is killed off.

A source exclusively told MailOnline that blonde siren Carmel, a favourite on the show over the past eight years, will perish in a fiery crash in scenes which are set to shock fans.
