Troubled schoolgirl turned screen siren Sarah-Louise Platt is set to make an explosive return to Coronation Street as actress Tina O'Brien has signed a new contract with the soap.
The 29-year-old actress – whose character hit the headlines when she fell pregnant aged just 13, played Sarah-Louise for eight years before quitting Weatherfield in 2007 – is to reprise her role in the ITV1 soap in the new year along with her onscreen daughter Bethany, who is now 13.
A 'Coronation Street' source said: 'Sarah-Louise’s pregnancy was an absolutely massive story and was a ratings winner for Corrie. It’s amazing to think it was 13 years ago now.

'She was an extremely popular character, so it’s a masterstroke to bring both her and Bethany back.'
Sarah-Louise will be kept busy by Bethany – who is expected to be portrayed by a new actress - and she is set to clash with her brother David's (Jack P. Shepherd) wife Kylie Platt (Paula Lane).
The source added to the Sunday Mirror newspaper: 'What makes the move even more intriguing is the fact Bethany will be the same age at Sarah-Louise when she fell pregnant. She will prove to be a real handful, just like her mum was. It really is like history repeating itself.

'Sarah-Louise hasn’t turned into a wallflower either, and she is going to have some major battles with Kylie because she doesn’t like the way she treats David.'
The decision to bring Sarah-Louise back is said to have been made by new 'Coronation Street' producer Stuart Blackburn, who is taking over the role from Phil Collinson.
Tina, has twice been voted into the annual FHM Top 100 Sexiest Women in the World, was in a relationship with Ryan Thomas, who played on-screen husband Jason Grimshaw from 2003 to 2009.

Their daughter, Scarlett Jacqueline Thomas was born at Manchester General Hospital on 26 October 2008.
After Coronation Street Tina starred in the Waterloo Road as Bex Fisher in 2010 then she went on to star in the 2010 series of Strictly Come Dancing, before being eliminated in the fifth week.

But former Disney starlet Vanessa Hudgens and Modern Family's Sarah Hyland had no trouble gaining admittance to Disneyland's Club 33 with their respective boyfriends on Friday evening.
The 24-year-old actress, wearing a fuzzy Mickey ears hat over her hair extensions, smirked and pointed at the private club's outer door in the photo Hyland posted on her Twitter page Saturday.

The exclusive eatery even waived its strict formal dress code for the four casually-attired, bundled-up celebs and their four other guests.

Not even Walt Disney himself dined at the VIP hot-spot - still the only place in Disneyland which sells alcoholic beverages - having tragically passed away five months prior to the opening.

The secretive venue is comprised of two dining rooms and several adjoining areas bizarrely decorated with large horned animal heads, boxes of exotic butterflies, a harpsichord, and a glass elevator.
Hyland later tweeted: 'Dinner tonight...Amazing. Thank you for the invitation @Disneyland! My favorite place to eat with some of my favorite people @mattpro13 @vanessahudgens and Austin haha.'
Vanessa will soon appear in the indie comedy Spring Breakers from eccentric director Harmony Korine.
The half-Filipina star also has Gimme Shelter with Brendan Fraser and Rosario Dawson and Machete Kills due out next year.

When they were paired for Dancing On Ice, Samia Ghadie and Sylvain Longchambon probably had no inkling they would end up splashed across the papers before the show even aired.
But, according to reports, during hours of practising for the hit ITV show, the pair have discovered they have feelings for one another.
And, it seems these emotions are strong enough for them to warrant ending their current relationships.

A source close to the French professional ice skater revealed that Sylvain had been open with his current girlfriend, actress Jennifer Metcalfe, that he was developing feelings for his new co-star.
The Hollyoaks beauty was said to have thought it just a phase, so was devastated when he called her on Friday night from France - where he had flown to for Christmas - to tell her that their two-year relationship was over.
The source told the Sunday Mirror: 'When Sylvain first admitted that he had real feelings for Samia, she was gutted.

'It's been a difficult time but she thought it would pass. She has been putting on a brave face for the audiences... he is a consummate professional. But she feels betrayed by both of them.'
It is sure to be a difficult concept for Jennifer, who is currently starring in pantomime, to accept as she and Sylvain met and fell in love while working on the 2010 series.
At the time, their on-screen chemistry was impossible to ignore, with Jennifer apparently inquiring as to his relationship status as soon as they first met.

Viewers were entranced by their routines, which lit up the rink as the pair fell more in love each week.
Since the end of the show, the couple have remained together, even moving in together and happily posing at red carpet events until recently.
It is as yet unclear if Samia, best known as Maria Connor in Coronation Street, shares the same sexual friction with the handsome Frenchman.
She has been skating with the Olympic skater since October, and in an interview with the Sunday Mirror's Celebs magazine, due to be published next week, she gushes about him - but refuses to discuss her own partner, Will Thorp.

She tells the magazine: 'I've only got good things to say. Sylvain is brilliant. He is so kind, patient and thoughtful. I can see how you'd end up in a relationship with your partner. You get to know each other intensely and there is a lot of trust.
'They ask you what you want in a partner and I said, someone nice, someone strong, someone patient and someone with a good sense of humour, and he's got all that.'
When asked if she gets annoyed with him for leaving her with aching ribs after training she says: 'No I couldn't, he's so lovely.'

However, when quizzed about Will she clams up, saying: 'I really don't want to talk about that if that's all right. Not at the moment.'
Similarly, the Daily Star Sunday reports that friends of Samia claim she is seeing the French skater.
They add that Sylvain and Jennifer split after a 'rocky couple of weeks', at around the same time that Samia and Will's union drew to an end.
The couple started dating in January 2011 - just a few weeks after Samia left her husband Matthew Smith after six years of marriage.

In December 2010, Will - who played builder Chris Gray in the soap - had left his wife Samantha, mother of his two children. However, both Samia and Will insisted they didn't start dating until their marriages were over.
The source said: 'Samia and Will split up a few weeks ago. There were no rows, they just had lots of commitments with various things.'
At the time Samia and Will's romance was made public, Matthew said: 'They have to live with what they have done... She's my wife. I love her.'
Metcalfe's spokesperson declined to comment when contacted by MailOnline, while Samia's rep is yet to respond to request for comment.
