And that's a wrap! Brandy makes a fashionable statement in a printed head scarf
We are more used to seeing her with her long hair cascading over her shoulders but singer Brandy has shown she isn't afraid to make a bold style statement.
The 34-year-old was spotted out and about in the Erykah Badu style scarf - although The Boy Is Mine singer went for a slightly smaller scale scarf than the Window Seat singer.
Mother-of-one Brandy looked colourful in the African style head wrap and her loose fitting linen dress - and couldn't help but smile as she climbed into a waiting car.
Bold fashion statement: Brandy brightens up her look in a stylish head wrap
Brandy, who is set to marry music executive Ryan Press later this year, showed off her vibrant style in an orange vintage print dress, a paisley head wrap and high laced leather boots.
Although Badu's headgear was her signature look throughout her career she ditched the headgear in 2011 after realising it was constricting her.
She said on a trip to Cuba she went to see a priest and when she discovered the Holy man wasn't who she thought it changed her perceptions of appearances.
Bold and beautiful: Brandy's look highlighted her naturally beautiful face and her loose dress showed off her slim figure (pictured right in December last year)
Speaking to Essence last year the On and On singer said: 'I never wore the head wrap again. I realized it wasn't necessary anymore, because after all that man was from a long line of healers and he didn't have to look like one.
'He was born with it. No matter what he did or what he said, no one could take that away from him. That's when I was freed and began to evolve. I began to focus on being more in here than out there.'
Can't stop smiling! Brandy is obviously very comfortable with her look

Also a fan: Solange Knowles has also been seen rocking a head wrap
But for Brandy, full name Brandy Norwood, perhaps her wrap is more of a bold style statement than a tribute to the legendary Badu.
R&B singer Brandy, recently paid tribute to Whitney Houston after they co-starred in the 1997 musical movie Cinderella, and said she is adamant no one can replace her idol.
She said: 'She was the greatest voice of all time and nobody will ever come close to touching her. I will never forget her.'
