She's had an action-packed schedule over the last few months.

And Gemma Arterton has certainly upped her style game for her busy promotional tour, rocking a bright red dress with a beautiful flowing hemline as she made her grand arrival at the Mayair Hotel in central London on Thursday.

The 30-year-old beauty was leading the glamour at the Their Finest photocall during the 60th BFI London Film Festival.

Gemma looked sensational in her scarlet gown, featuring pretty deconstructed bow detailing on the shoulders.

The red hot dress was nipped in at the waist and boasted a low neckline, before falling to the floor in loose pleats.

The actress ensured she kept her hair and beauty look to a minimum, letting her bright dress take centre stage.

The new British romance-comedy is directed by Lone Scherfig, who was also responsible for An Education and One Day.

Set during World War I, the film follows a group of inspiring filmmakers who try to make a patriotic film that will boost morale of the British army during The Blitz.

Gemma plays lead character Catrin Cole, alongside a host of co-stars including Sam Claflin and Bill Nighy.

Having just finished her run as the bawdy Nell Gwyn on the West End, the determined film-maker role is undoubtedly a welcome change for Gemma, who recently revealed that she wishes to play a wide variety of strong female roles across her career.

She told The Telegraph: 'There are great stories that haven’t been told.

'I’d love to do a film about [silent film actress] Mary Pickford, or the first ever female barrister. And not just historical characters, but also stuff that’s more kind of female-centric.'

Gemma Arterton sizzles in a saucy backless crop top as she makes her glamorous arrival at the Toronto International Film Festival

She is known for her classically glamorous looks on the red carpet.

And Gemma Arterton ticked all the style boxes once again on Sunday as she arrived at the Toronto International Film Festival in Canada.

The British actress, 30, caught the attention of everyone in a striking flared trousers and crop top combo as she promoted her new film Their Finest at the Roy Thompson Hall.

Gemma looked incredible in the Giorgio Armani AW16 velvet ensemble, with the trousers flaring out stylishly at the ankle to give the look a 1970s vibe.

The trousers were high-waisted to enhance her long and slender legs, and featured a retro buckle at the top to cinch in at her middle.

The actress, who made her debut in hit film St. Trinians, then jazzed the look up with a matching crop top that was completely backless.

Held together by two embellished straps from her bust, the Gravesend-born star flashed a saucy amount of skin as she smouldered back at the cameras.

The front of the velvet top remained demure and classy, featuring buttons from the high neck to the hem and decorated with simple multi-coloured beads.

Gemma looked in high spirits as she happily chatted and signed autographs for awaiting fans at the premiere of the film Their Finest, before heading to the elite Vanity Fair and Tiffany & Co after-party.

Gemma has a very busy year coming up, with plenty of projects alongside this flick in the pipeline.

The Made in Dagenham star is set to star in the movie adaptation of M.R. Carey's best-selling novel The Girl With All The Gifts.

The post-apocalyptic horror film sees Gemma play Helen Justineau, a teacher that grows particularly close to a young girl with exceptional ability.

She is also gearing up to provide a voice in a new animated miniseries of Watership Down.

With Gemma voicing Clover, the show will broadcast on BBC One and stream internationally on Netflix next year.

Love Actually reunion! Hugh Grant is joined by Martine McCutcheon as rom-com king picks up prestigious BFI Fellowship award

He is best known for his floppy haired charm in romantic comedies.

And Hugh Grant's on-screen charisma has earned him a Fellowship from the British Film Institute, one of cinema’s top accolades for his contribution to the film industry.

The 55-year-old actor was joined by a host of famous faces including his Love Actually co-star Martine McCutcheon at the BFI’s Chairman’s Dinner in London on Tuesday night as he picked up the prize.

The British star proved he only gets better with age, appearing just as handsome as in his 90s heyday. 

Grant's only major awards up to now have been a BAFTA and a Golden Globe for his turn as a hapless serial monogamist in 1994’s Four Weddings and a Funeral.

However, he now finds himself a BFI Fellow, among such reified company as Sir David Lean, Sir Alec Guinness, Sir Michael Caine, Dame Maggie Smith and Dame Judi Dench. 

This is the 82nd Fellowship bestowed by the British Film Institute since the accolade was first introduced in 1983 and Sir John Hurt, himself a recipient, has called it ‘the highest honour possible’.

Last year saw the award go to Mel Brooks and Cate Blanchett, both Oscar winners. 

The award was presented to Hugh by film producer and Co-Chairman of Working Title, Eric Fellner, at the BFI’s Chairman’s Dinner, hosted by BFI Chair Greg Dyke.

Grant admitted it was a ‘lovely surprise’ and added it was ‘a great honour and I’m very grateful to the BFI for thinking of me.’

Chairman Dyke said: ‘We are absolutely delighted to honour Hugh Grant with a BFI Fellowship. With impeccable comic timing and huge doses of his unique, ironic self-deprecating and very British charm, Hugh always pulls off the hardest thing of all – a seemingly effortless performance.

'I can assure you it’s not. Hugh’s acting talents are prodigious and his contribution to cinema enormous. He is a British icon and has been making literally billions of people all over the world laugh, cry - and fall in love with him of course - for over 30 years.’ 

Born in 1960, Grant was educated at £5,900-a-term Latymer School in London before studying English Literature at New College Oxford.

His first major film role in 1987’s Maurice won him a Best Actor award at the Venice Film Festival, shared with co-star James Wilby. Fame came with Richard Curtis’ romantic comedy Four Weddings and a Funeral.

He has since been best known for his roles in films including Love Actually, Notting Hill and About A Boy, where often plays an awkward or curmudgeonly man who finds love and redemption. He also played the devilish Daniel in the Bridget Jones series.

While not always finding critical acclaim – his performance in 2009’s Did You Hear About the Morgans? was branded ‘a shambles’ – he has certainly been a crowd pleaser, with his 25 worldwide releases making £1.7billion at the box office.
