Emmy Rossum plays the sexy but often frazzled Fiona Gallagher in Shameless.

The 28-year-old actress vamped things up on Monday too as she hit up the CFDA Fashion Awards in New York City.

Emmy impressed in a slinky black dress by designer Dion Lee with drooping long sheer sleeves, low-cut neckline and cut-outs at the waist and shoulders.

A front split allowed glimpses of her legs as she posed on the white carpet in pointy black Paul Andrew pumps with edgy heels.

A boxy gold clutch by designer Lee Savage deviated from the dark ensemble while smoky eye shadow made her big brown eyes look even larger.

Her hair was parted in center and pulled back into an elaborate bun intertwined with diamonds.

Frazzled Fiona: Emmy has played the sexy yet often frazzled Fiona Gallagher on Showtime's Shameless for five seasons and is set to return for a sixth

The CFDA Fashion Awards seeks to highlight the amazing contributions made in the fashion world from womenswear, menswear and accessories to journalism, creative vision and lifetime achievement, according to the Coucil Of Fashion Designers Of America website.

Emmy, meanwhile, recently wrapped up season five of Shameless on Showtime, with the series scheduled to pick back up for season six in 2016.

That means more adventures for Fiona, whom Emmy obviously loves to play.

She has said that sometimes she's often confused with her 'easy' character by men in the dating pool.

'I feel like on the first date with a guy he'll think I'm easy (like Fiona), and that's so disconcerting,' Emmy told Cosmopolitan last year.

'It's not like I haven't had sex on the first date, but usually that ended up in a two-year relationship.'

Her enviable figure is well known after she appeared on this year's cover of Sports Illustrated's Swimsuit Issue.

So Hannah Davis continued to display it - in a far more covered up style - as she rubbed shoulders among the fashion industry's heavy hitters on Monday.

The 25-year-old was not hard to miss in a voluminous purple sequined skirt and black bralette at the CFDA Fashion Awards in New York City.

Hannah flashed her toned tum and decolletage in the crop top, which featured a triangular cutout along the center of the bust.

The knockout complemented the ensemble with a sheer, cropped black cardigan, black strappy heels and a quilted black clutch.

Her sandy-blonde tresses tumbled around her shoulders and she completed the look with a splash of pink lipstick and a smokey eye.

However, the beauty was missing her most handsome accessory - retired baseball star Derek Jeter. 

Hannah and the New York Yankees heartthrob have been dating on-off since 2012 and appeared together last month at another big fashion event, the Met Gala.  

Known as the Oscars of the fashion world, the Council Of Fashion Designers Of America Fashion Awards celebrate the year's best American designers.

While making her way inside the venue at Lincoln Center - where New York Fashion Week was last held - Hannah posed alongside designer Michelle Smith, who looked stunning in a sleeveless black gown that had pink and white panels.

CFDA honoree Betsey Johnson performed a split while clad in a black and white striped full body suit and white sneakers.

The former Dancing With The Stars contestant flashed two thumbs up and beamed in front of cameras.

She's one the world's highest-paid models, who has worked for everyone from Chanel to Marc Jacobs and Cavalli.

And Joan Smalls proved why she's one of the most in-demand girls in the industry when she attended the 2015 CFDA Fashion Awards on Monday night in an edgy white dress.

The 26-year-old stunner looked sensational upon arriving at the Lincoln Centre in New York City in her daring number, which featured a dangerously low neckline and a backless cut.

The halterneck garment was embellished with a silver zip running down the front, which stopped just above the knee to form a centre-split.

The eye-catching dress boasted a thin, belt-style strap running around the back.

Joan toughened up her image with a heavy smoky eye, defined brows and a nude lip.

She wore her dark locks pulled back in a severe, sleek ponytail with a centre parting.

Like many of her model pals, Joan was picked on at school for her statuesque height and struggled with her self-confidence.

'I was so awkward-looking - tall, super skinny, gangly. The boys at school made fun of me,' she recently confessed in an interview with Lucky magazine.

'I’d see those girls on TV and I’d think, 'Oh, they have my same body type',' she said. 'These were women who got to travel the world.'
