She is going through one of the most uncomfortable battles of her life as she publicly argues against her ex-fiancé Nick Loeb for the use of their frozen embryos one year after their split.
But Sofia Vergara didn't seem to be letting that war get to her on Thursday as she was given her star on the Walk Of Fame in Hollywood.
Dressed in a stunning strapless gold dress with matching pumps, the 42-year-old Modern Family actress glowed as she stood next to her new fiancé, Magic Mike XXL star Joe Manganiello, 38.
Meanwhile, across the country, her ex continued his very public press tour explaining why he should be able to get their embryos as he prepares to take her to court for them.

As Sofia was posing with her new star, her ex-fiance was simultaneously on the streets of New York, filming yet another television interview about their embryos - this time with CNN

The below-the-knee hem showed off her long legs and peep-toe platform heels that had pearls along the bottom edge made her looked even more glamorous.
The Hot Pursuit movie star wore her long ombre locks parted in the middle and down. Her jewelry consisted of large square diamond and Citrine drop earrings.
Joe, dressed in a light grey suit with white shirt and brown shoes, looked overjoyed to be standing next to his future wife.
At one point he put his arm around her waist as he looked proud of his soon-to-be spouse. He also seemed to have no qualms about planting kiss after kiss on the siren.
Her parents Margarita and Julio, as well as her 22-year-old son Manolo, were in the audience too.

The pretty star and her ex Loeb are locked in a legal dispute over frozen embryos they created together under a signed agreement stipulating that both parties must consent to any action taken utilizing them to produce children.
The embryos were created six months before they broke up - around this time last year - and Nick wants to the right to use them by himself.
Sofia had her chance to speak out about the situation on Good Morning America which aired on Thursday - moments after Nick gave his side of the story in a talk with the Today Show.
The banking heir insisted his intentions had nothing to do with the actress - and dismissed suggestions he was taking her to court because he could not get over her.
'It has nothing to do with a baby or her baby,' he said. 'Lives were created.'

And despite Sofia's suggestion on Howard Stern's Sirius XM program earlier this week that Nick hated her, the 39-year-old businessman said this was not the case.
'I don't hate her at all,' he said. 'I have tremendous respect for Sofia.'
Sofia and Nick split up a year ago after dating for approximately four years and engaged for two.
The actress hit back at her former flame's legal action and said on Good Morning America Thursday, in a pretaped interview: 'I've been working very hard for 20 years to get to this point where I am, enjoying my movie,' she said.

'I promote all my movies, all my work, but I don't like promoting my private life and I don't understand why this person... I don't want to allow this person to take more advantage of my career and try to promote himself and get press for this.'
But as he appeared simultaneously on the Today show, Loeb insisted his intentions had nothing to do with her - and dismissed suggestions he was taking her to court because he could not get over her.

And despite Vergara's suggestion on Howard Stern's Sirius XM program earlier this week that Loeb hated her, the 39-year-old businessman and banking heir said this was not the case.

She also dismissed his likelihood of being able to take the female embryos, which he wants to take to full term by using a surrogate, and bring up the children.
'There's papers signed. There is a court date,' she said. 'He shouldn't be creating something so ugly out of nothing.'
The case will be in court on May 22.
He told the Today show that he has told Vergara that she can waive all financial responsibility and he will bring up the children alone.
'I can give these children a wonderful life,' he said. 'These girls will be raised knowing that they have a father who fought for them.'
But he also said that he would be happy for Vergara and her fiance Manganiello to take the embryos and bring them to full term, 'as long as I was involved in the process'.
And he dismissed her earlier claims that children need two parents.
20 million single parents in this world and... they're all working really hard to bring up children,' he said. 'I don't think there's anything with being wrong with being a single father or a single mother raising a child in America today.

On April 29, Nick published a New York Times op-ed arguing that he should be able to use the embryos because he always dreamed of becoming a father - regardless of his relationship status with Sofia.
He told the paper that in 2013, the couple decided to try to use in vitro fertilization and a surrogate to have children when they were engaged.
Sofia's lawyer Fred Silberberg told People that she 'has never wanted to destroy her embryos.'
However, she's not planning on using them either, the attorney said in the statement, adding that Vergara 'is content to leave the embryos frozen indefinitely as she has no desire to have children with her ex.'

Also on Thursday Vergara's Summer issue of Cosmo For Latinas came out.
In it she said she has already set a wedding date with Joe. The former model said kids could be in the future with the looker.
'When you're with somebody that hasn't had kids, and you want to start a relationship, of course there's always that question,' she said.
'And if it happens, it will be something that will make us very happy, but it's not a priority in our lives.'

Manolo is the actress' only child from her short marriage to her high school sweetheart Joe Gonzalez.

Sofia hasn't revealed when her upcoming nuptials will be but revealed to Ryan Seacrest on his KIIS FM radio show on Wednesday that they have now settled on a date and it's going to be a huge affair.
She explained: 'It was kind of difficult because we're both working, and you never know what's going to come in our work. But we had to stick to it because it was impossible to book a place with short notice.'
She said: 'I had to invite like all my family, and Joe has a lot of friends. So it became bigger and bigger and bigger.'
