It could have been a fashion faux pas - two blonde celebrities turning up at the London premiere of The Dark Knight Rises in similar style dresses.

But while pop singer Pixie Lott and Made In Chelsea star Kimberley Garner had both opted for aquamarine halterneck dresses, they ended up with very different results.

While Pixie looked positively demure in her long gown, reality star Kimberley left little to the imagination in her revealing creation.

The 22-year-old blonde, who recently split from MIC co-star Richard Dinan after a brief romance, showed off her cleavage in the slashed-to-the-navel top of the dress and the large split in front.

Property heiress Kimberley, who admitted she was a virgin in the last series of Made In Chelsea, revealed on her Twitter page that she had designed her risqué dress herself.

She tweeted: 'Just arrived at ‪#DarkKnightRises‬ I am wearing a dress that I designed! Can't wait!'

With a dress so daring, she wisely opted for a more low-key look for her hair and make-up.

However, while Pixie had covered up, the bulky material of the gown made the ensemble look far too mature for her 21 years.

Also at the premiere was Kimberley's nemesis Cheska Hull, who hopefully kept her distance.

Although filming on Series 4 is expected to start soon, Kimberley isn't sure whether she would be returning.

She denied she was fired from the show after a vicious argument with her friend and co-star Harriet Loder.

She told the Mail On Sunday's Katie Nicholl: 'They have asked me to come back, but I don't know whether I want to, I always get so scared as to how the show will edit me. It was such a whirlwind last time.

'I have been offered a part in a film, I can't breath a word about it but I will tell you as soon as I can! I also want to bring out my own fashion line.'

She trained for months to get into super-toned shape for Catwoman's eye-wateringly tight costume.

But when it came to the London première of The Dark Knight Rises, Anne Hathaway went for a very different look.

Sporting her elfin crop, which she had cut short for Les Miserables, the 29-year-old actress wore a loose-fitting, glittering gold Gucci creation.

Mobbed: Despite her jetlag, a cheery Anne was happy to sign autographs for fans

Also bringing the glamour were some of the film's leading men's real-life leading ladies.

Christian Bale's wife Sandra 'Sibi' wore a black asymmetrical floor-length gown, while Tom Hardy's actress fiancée Charlotte Riley wore a floral skirt and black strapless top.

Hardy plays the leading villain in the third and last instalment of Christopher Nolan's Batman trilogy while Bale has reprised his role as Batman.

The film sees Hardy have to wear a reported 'life-giving mask,' which the actor says made filming difficult.

He said: 'When it’s on, it’s hard to breathe. I can’t hear anyone, and no one can see me speak.  So there you go. And the magic begins.'

Despite having flown in from New York just hours earlier following the film's world premiere the night before, everyone looked surprisingly fresh-faced.

French actress Marion Cotillard, who played Bruce Wayne's love interest Miranda Tate, showed off her tiny waist in an orange and dog-tooth Christian Dior creation.

Hopefully, the evening will go a lot smoother than Bale's last Batman premiere in London.

The actor was arrested following allegations of assault after a stormy argument with his mother Sandra and sister Jenny at a London hotel shortly before the premiere of The Dark Knight in 2008, however the charges were later dropped.

Bale hasn't spoken to the two women since the incident.

The film also stars Joseph Gordon Levitt as policeman John Blake, while Gary Oldman, Morgan Freeman and Sir Michael Caine have reprised their roles as Batman, Officer Jim Gordon, Lucius Fox and Alfred respectively. 

Also at the premiere were Made In Chelsea rivals Cheska Hull and Kimberley Garner, who hopefully kept their distance from each other.

New mother Peaches Geldof was enjoying another date night with fiancé Thomas Cohen.

Other couples included singer James Morrison and his partner Gill, while Pixie brought model boyfriend Oliver Cheshire.

Zoe Kravitz doesn't have a role in Dark Knight Rises.

But that didn't stop the 23-year-old actress arriving for the New York premiere tonight - in a dress which risked stealing attention away from the film's actual stars.

The X Men: First Class star wore a daring black cutaway dress, with a sheer top half, and only a few strategically placed strips of material to save her blushes.

One wrong move or slip could have left the singer and model a little red faced.

But Zoe managed to avoid any embarrassing wardrobe malfunctions, no doubt thanks to some cleavage tape.
