While Minka Kelly may have had some television series false starts recently, at the network's event in Santa Monica, California, the actress definitely was not making a fashion missteps as she once again prepares to return to the small screen.

The 33-year-old shone in a little black dress on the red carpet for the Fox Fall Eco-Casino Party.

Coming up aces: Minka Kelly turned up the heat at the annual Fox Fall Eco-Casino Party in Santa Monica, California, on Monday night

The event - which raises money for environmental causes - is the kick off for the fall scheduling season.

Minka proved simplicity is the key as she walked into the party in the black figure-hugging dress.

While ending at the demure length of just on the actress' knee, the dress helped the former Charlie's Angels star ooze sex appeal.

The dress' scooped neckline and buckle detail straps, made sure to show off just a hint of Minka's cleavage, while the tight fabric accentuated her curvacious figure.

Keeping her look simple, the star also wore nude stain pointed pumps, complimenting her tanned skin.

Boosting Minka's sex kitten aura, the star wore her much darker brown hair in voluminous cascading waves.

The 33-year-old's makeup was also designed to have a come hither but natural look, with the Friday Night Lights actress donning lashings of mascara and eyeliner with a nude colour on her pouty lips.

Minka is set to star in Fox's new science fiction crime drama Almost Human, the executive director of which is Lost's J.J. Abrams. 

Following Minka's little black dress lead was funny lady Mindy Kaling, who wore a frock featuring a mesh leather top and material skirt.

Cutting her own fashion path as always was Zooey Deschanel, who was at the event to promote the third season of her hit show New Girl.

Sticking with her signature quirky meets vintage hipster theme, the 33-year-old wore a feminine white 1950's inspired gown with lace detail.

The star cinched in the dress at her tiny waist with a leather bow belt and wore pastel pink heels with bows on front.

The Fox fall television series season starts this week.

The subject matter of her new film is risque to say the least.

And it appears that Mila Kunis continued a somewhat racy theme in her attire for the premiere of Ted in Los Angeles this evening.

The 28-year-old actress took the plunge and showed off her decolletage in a deep V minidress as she posed outside the Grauman's Chinese Theatre in Hollywood.

However, the Black Swan star's attire was toned down with a sheer panel committed to concealing her modesty from being exposed by the gap which reached right down to her waist. 

But it wasn't the front of the dress that was causing any concern for the actress.

Rather the pleated A-line skirt, which she desperately tried to hold down at the back.

Nonetheless, the black satin dress looked sensational on the petite star, who possesses stunning features thanks to her Ukrainian background.

The actress gave a pop of colour with her footwear, slipping on a pair of emerald and black lace stilettos.

Mila went for a natural straight style with her hair, and her eyes stood out made-up in a smoky style.

Of course Mila was joined by her co-star and on-screen boyfriend Mark Wahlberg for the event.

The 41-year-old, who also cuddled up to his wife and mother to his four children Rhea Durham on the red-carpet, looked dapper in a navy blue suit, white shirt and black tie combination.

Rhea, meanwhile, looked incredible, showing off her curves in a cleavage-enhancing cream corset and red pencil skirt combination.

Making a surprise appearance at the event was newlywed Giovanni Ribisi, who also stars in the film.

Ted is written, produced and directed by Family Guy creator Seth McFarlane and tells the story of a Boston native (Wahlberg) who's childhood wish comes true when his teddy bear (Ted) comes to life.

However Ted's irresponsible, foul mouthed slacker lifestyle ends up coming into conflict with John's efforts to win over his dream girl Lori (Kunis).

The $38million movie is McFarlane's first feature film, which will also see him voice the computer animated character of Ted.

The film, which co-stars comic actor Joel McHale and 90210 star Stroup, is set to be released in July next year.
