Eva Longoria looks sensational in black figure-hugging zipper dress for her appearance at the Web Summit in Dublin

She’s ditched the balmy California sunrays for the chilly winds of Ireland.
And on Tuesday, Hollywood siren Eva Longoria cut a fine figure for her special appearance at the 4th annual Web Summit in Dublin.
The 39-year-old actress channelled a demure and sophisticated look in a gorgeous black figure-hugging number, which boasted a contrasting gold zip down the side.

She joined British journalist Jemima Khan for on stage to talk about the challenges women in business continue to face.
‘I don't allow fame to define me,’ she explained, reports The Irish Independent. ‘No one wants to hear a famous person complain. They think, “Oh, boo hoo for them”. I became famous quite late in life - I was 28 or 29. I already had my BA, my education and I was quite set in who I am.
‘If you allow the media to define you as “America's Sweetheart” or the “funny woman”, that's where you get into trouble. Because I was so set in who I was, it brushes off me.’

The brunette stunner was first spotted out and about in the nation's capital on Monday, where sh looked decidedly chilly despite being wrapped up in a stylish baby blue coat, black boots and a thick black scarf.
Desperate Housewives actress Eva shared with her Twitter followers that she had tucked in to a traditional Irish breakfast at the renowned Bewley's Cafe before going to see the Book Of Kells - the famous manuscript  containing the four Gospels of the New Testament - at Trinity College.
She shared a picture of herself jumping beside a sign for the Book on her WhoSay account and wrote: 'Wow truly a national treasure! #BookOfKells (They wouldn't let me jump in the long room ).'

Eva also popped in to high street retailer River Island for a spot of retail therapy during her trip.

Longoria appeared with the 71-year-old politician to support candidates up for election in Nevada.

As the co-founder of the Latino Victory PAC and a notable political activist, Longoria offered her assistance to Biden.
Both gave speeches in support of Democrats like Representative Steven Horsford and Nevada lieutenant governor candidate Lucy Flores.
Eva is no stranger to the political world, and has been especially active in support of the Barack Obama Presidency and of Latino causes in general.
Bundled up: Eva, who was born in Texas, looked completely chilled as she strolled around Dublin
She was a co-chair of Obama's re-election campaign in 2012 and spoke at the Democratic National Convention in that same year.
The Latino Victory PAC co-sponsored Saturday's event, held at a Las Vegas union headquarters, with the state Democratic Party.
After the politics were finished for the day, the former Desperate Housewives star attended an event of a very different nature in the same city.
No special treatment here: Eva enjoyed a fun day in Dublin where she acted like any other tourists, popping around to check out the sights

Longoria was the host for the Padres Contra El Cancer's 14th Annual 'El Sueno De Esperanza' Celebration at the Venetian Hotel and Casino.
When not dealing with causes, Eva has kept busy in show business over the past few years.
The actress had a starring role in the independent film, Frontera, released in the summer of 2014.
On television, Longoria provides the voice of the lead character and executive produces the animated series, Mother Up!
Her other major television project of the past few years has been Devious Maids, the Lifetime drama that she executive produces and sometimes directs.

Busty Gemma Arterton wows in backless negligee-style dress for UNICEF Halloween ball

Forget the trick... she's all about the treat! Busty Gemma Arterton wows in backless negligee-style dress for Halloween ball

Vampire, nurse and zombie bride are all popular choices when it comes to Halloween outfits for women.
But Gemma Arterton opted to keep things simple as she attended The UNICEF Halloween Ball at One Mayfair in London on Thursday night.
Instead of a tacky fancy dress option, Gemma wowed in a stunning backless negligee-dress as she made a stylish appearance at the annual event.

The 27-year-old actress showed off her enviable curves in the black gown, which clung to her figure in all the right places.
Adding something of a spooky twist to her look, Gemma teamed the dress with a smoky silver eye, which gave her overall ensemble an ethereal quality.
Gemma looked calm and collected as she posed up on the red carpet at the charity bash, after admitting in an interview earlier this year that she credits her mother Sally-Anne for giving her confidence to do anything with her life.

She told The Sun: 'I have to thank my mother for giving me confidence. She brought up me and my sister on her own and never talked about any problems. I really appreciate how one woman could work hard and be a great mum at the same time.
'My mum Sally worked at two jobs, as a cleaner and seamstress ... I am no campaigning feminist, but just seeing her set an example makes me convinced that women can do anything so long as they have belief in themselves.
'Her ability to look after and protect my sister and myself made us always feel optimistic about life. It allowed me to make decisions, both good and bad, and not feel restricted.'

Gemma wasn't the only familiar face to make an appearance at the UNICEF ball, which was to raise vital funds for UNICEF's work for children affected by the current Syria crisis.
Jemima Khan went for more of a fancy dress approach to her outfit, wearing a black tutu-style ensemble, for which she appeared to have taken inspiration from Oscar-winning movie Black Swan.
The 39-year-old socialite, who recently split from comedian Russell Brand, showed off her slim legs in the short skirt and corset, which she teamed with a feather-trimmed cardigan.

Completing her look, Jemima opted for winged eye make-up like Natalie Portman's character in the film, and wore her brunette hair up in a loose ponytail.
Coincidentally also present at the bash was Jemima's ex Hugh Grant, who arrived at a similar time, and kept his spooky look simple by pairing his suit with a frilly cat mask.
Meg Mathews showed off her slim figure at the event in a tight black PVC strapless dress, which she teamed with ankle-strap heels and her blonde hair slicked back into a high ponytail.

Birthday girl Holly Valance cuts a slimmer figure in a plunging claret gown at ARK charity gala

She may be living in London these days, but Holly Valance turned to her one-time hometown of Hollywood for fashion inspiration last night.
The Australian singer/actress, who spent several years living in LA in the mid-Noughties, harked back to the old Hollywood glamour of yesteryear as she arrived at the ARK Gala Dinner in London.

Accompanied by her property tycoon fiancé Nick Candy, the Strictly Come Dancing star - who turns 29 today - looked stunning in a plunging claret gown.
It was a return to svelte form for the singer/actress, who was pictured just a few weeks ago look rather less trim.
Holly and Nick were invited by organiser Arpad Busson to his annual event, which last year saw the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge in attendance.
Tickets for the event raised money for the Absolute Return for Kids (ARK), which protects and helps children around the world through education and healthcare.
Missing out on the event was Busson's pregnant girlfriend Uma Thurman, who is expecting their first child together in the summer.
But Busson was joined by his two sons Flynn and Cy from his previous relationship with supermodel Elle Macpherson.
Having just returned from Los Angeles, Valance admitted she was so busy, she had to be reminded by Candy is was her birthday on Friday.
She tweeted: 'Lucky the fiancé reminded me. "Darling it's your birthday tomorrow" Me: "Oh yeah?!..."

'Yay! Canapes at the ready!'
Earlier that day, Valance had dyed her hair a lighter shade of blonde at the Daniel Galvin salon in Belgravia.
She tweeted: 'Pretending it's summer and gone blondey!-er! Thanks @danielgalvinjr. & @Miguapochino !!! Feelin' pwitty! X.'

After getting engaged in the Maldives just before Christmas, Valance and Candy have decided to wait until 2013 to tie the knot.
They cited the Queen's Jubilee and the Olympics as reasons to wait because they want to enjoy both events without worrying about wedding planning.
The pair, who started dating just over two years ago, are currently at odds over where to marry.

Friends say Valance wants to marry in California, while Candy, 39, would love to tie the knot in the South of France or Italy.
A pal told the Mail On Sunday's Katie Nicholl column: 'Holly wants to marry in LA because she lived there for years, and has contacted wedding planners there, but Nick is trying to convince her to have it somewhere more classic in Europe.
'Nick likes the idea of Italy or the South of France, where he usually has his superyacht moored.'
