They became firm friends when they filmed movie The Frozen Ground together, and even more so now they're travelling the globe promoting the picture.

And it seems Vanessa Hudgens and Nicolas Cage now even co-ordinate their outfits together.

The pair both opted for pink outfits on Saturday night as they turned out to the Ischia Global Festival together as they continued their Italian trip.

Nicolas, 49, stood out thanks to his vibrant pink linen suit, which seemed a rather odd choice apart from it matching with Vanessa's dress.

The 24-year-old actress went for a more understated hue but clearly co-ordinated with her castmate as they posed up for pictures next to each other.

Hudgens looked the picture of elegance in her halterneck floorlength gown which had embellished detailing from top to bottom.

She appeared confident in the get-up as she finished the look with her dark locks pulled into an up 'do.

Vanessa also wore long earrings to add another touch of glamour while the colour of the frock showed off her impressive tan.

The pair smiled widely as they posed for pictures together on entry, before taking a seat next to Cage's wife Alice Kim.

Alice also looked glamorous in a beige mini-dress and mustard coloured heels.

And it's no wonder Vanessa looked so glowing as she has been seen throughout the week lapping up the rays while on the Italian trip.

She's branded herself the queen of boho chic in celebrity circles thanks to her style and love of meditation.

And it seems Vanessa Hudgens has really come into her own while on holiday in Italy this week.

The actress has shown off her hippy style in full force as she continues to lap up the sunshine.

And on Saturday morning she again fitted into the boho theme by walking barefoot and wearing a long skirt with side split with her strappy bikini.

Since arriving in the country the Spring Breakers star has made the most of her time by parting on the beaches, lapping up the rays and even enjoying some meditation time aboard a luxury yacht.

Alright for some: She's certainly been enjoying her time in Italy this week in between showbiz events

But on Thursday night she ditched her bikini for a glamorous gown once more as she got back to work.

She again attended the Ischia Glabal Film festival, where she was handed the icon Award.

The 24-year-old The Frozen Ground star was positively glowing as she held the seahorse-shaped award, clad in a stunning green sparkling gown.

It was surely a rather exciting moment for the young star to be handed an award alongside the illustrious Baz Luhrman.

On the same evening, The Great Gatsby director was awarded the Luchino Visconti Legend Award and Vanessa managed to get a happy snap alongside him.

Vanessa's co-star Nicolas Cage was then honoured as a film Legend by the festival on Saturday, after the premiere of their film The Frozen Ground.

The two have been making the international rounds as they attended the red carpet première for the drama in London just the night before.

Vanessa has admitted she was so far removed from her role as a prostitute in The Frozen Ground, that she didn't even recognize herself in the gritty role.

She is currently busy promoting her new movie The Frozen Ground at the 2013 Ischia Global Film And Music Festival in Italy.

But Vanessa Hudgens indulged in some down time on Friday.

The 24-year-old was seen mediating on a speed boat as she took to the high seas.

Lined up with two other bikini-clad friends, Vanessa showed off her toned figure in a black bikini.

Taking some long deep breaths, the Spring Breakers looked zen as she crossed her legs and centred herself.

While the two other women closed their eyes, Vanessa took in the sights around her.

With her long brunette hair out tumbling around her shoulders, she looked every inch the bikini babe.

The starlet also accentuated her trim tummy even further by donning a gold body chain that wrapped around her torso.

Vanessa was also joined by director Eli Roth on the boat ride.

Before they left the port, the pair were seen chatting as they sat on the edge of the water craft.

Vanessa and Eli were joined by several other women and a muscular tattooed man who were also enjoying soaking up the sun.

In recent times, Eli had been dating a brunette beauty while Vanessa is in a relationship with Austin Butler, but the usually smitten pair have not been spotted together for some time.

Eli certainly appears to have enjoyed himself at the film festival so far.

On Monday night, he cut a dapper appearance in a black suit and white shirt as he posed up with beauties Valeria Marini, Camila Morrone and Lucila Sola at the festival's gala dinner.

The film star has been keeping busy with his various horror movie commitments, with The Sacrament the next offering from the star.

Before her boat ride, Vanessa greeted her fans outside of her hotel.

The actess had somewhat of a Marilyn moment when the garmet blew up into the air, forcing her to smooth it down with her hands.

Vanessa told Nick Grimshaw on his BBC Radio 1 Breakfast Show: 'There were so many different crazy situations I had to put myself in.

'But honestly a good stare into the mirror, would do me some justice because I didn't look like myself at all. Just remind myself who I was playing and just making it real.'

The Spring Breakers star also said while she loved acting in the crime thriller, she can't cope with horror films.

'I cannot watch scary movies,' Vanessa said. 'I can't do it. Frozen Ground is good because it's like a thriller. It gets into your head. But ghosts and things that just pop up and scream at you, I can't do.

'Because it's based on a true story, these events actually happened. My character is based on a real person.

'So there is definitely a weight that comes along with that. We shot in some of the real places that the events took place in.

The Frozen Ground documents the tale of an Alaska State Trooper (Cage) who partners with a young woman (Vanessa), who escaped the clutches of serial killer Robert Hansen to bring the murderer to justice.

The film opens in wide release on July 19.

She shot to fame as the fresh-face teen star of the High School Musical franchise.

But Vanessa Hudgens proved her transformation into fully-fledged Hollywood screen siren was well and truly complete as she posed up a storm at the UK premiere for her latest movie, The Frozen Ground, on Wednesday night.

Leading the red carpet glamour as she posed alongside her co-stars on the red carpet at London's Vue West End in Leicester Square, the 24-year-old actress looking positively incredible in a plunging nude crystal embellished jumpsuit by British designer Jenny Packham.

Split almost to the navel, the sheer pantsuit from the brand's archives featured intricate silver beading, floaty sleeves and a flattering, cinched-in waist.

The Spring Breakers bombshell added a touch more Hollywood glam to her ensemble with the addition of a slick of berry red lipstick and her bouncy brunette locks teased into voluminous retro curls.

Toting a small gold clutch bag, Vanessa completed her red carpet look with a pair of silver strappy sandals as she posed alongside The Frozen Ground co-star, Nicolas Cage.

And she certainly seemed excited to be turning on the glamour for her London fans, writing on her Twitter page on Wednesday evening: 'On my way to the first premiere of The Frozen Ground!!! So excited. Out Friday in the UK!!'

Vanessa was also chatting to Game of Thrones actress Nathalie Emmanuel on the red carpet, with the former Hollyoaks star looking incredible in a monochrome lace halterneck number.

Reality star Amy Childs looked pretty as a picture in a candy pink skater dress, while former soap star Rachel Shenton was effortlessly elegant in a form-fitting moss green cocktail dress.
