She has spoken out against the pressures to be thin in Hollywood, and famously declared that she would rather look 'chubby' on-screen than diet.

But Jennifer Lawrence looked as svelte and toned as any young starlet during a recent photoshoot.

The 23-year-old showed off her enviably toned legs in bikini bottoms before dazzling in an evening gown in Los Angeles on Tuesday.

The Oscar winner bared her tan legs in a black bikini, covering up with a white blazer as she made her way up some outdoor stairs, surrounded by foliage.

She was then seen wearing a Fifties-style silver frock that sported a green pattern at the bust.

Jennifer wore her short blonde hair in a wavy 'do and added a further glamorous touch with crimson lips.

Perhaps Jennifer was taking her mind off her alleged personal troubles after her on-again, off-again boyfriend Nicholas Hoult reportedly cosied up to actress Riley Keough last week. 

Nicholas was rumoured to be romancing Lisa Marie Presley’s daughter during a brief split with Jennifer in 2013. 

The 24-year-old British actor was seen with the 25-year-old actress again at No.8's Philo Prom party in New York City on Wednesday, according to Page Six. 

The sighting is sparking speculation of another split between the two X-Men stars.

‘They were sitting arm-in-arm in a booth with Adam Lambert and Charl Brown,’ a witness told the site.

Another source observed that the duo ‘looked cozy,’ though Nicholas was also chatting with ‘a bunch of other girls.’ 

Page Six reports that he and Jennifer have recently been rumoured to be having problems. 

The duo, who met while filming X-Men: First Class in 2011, broke up in January of 2013 after two years of dating, and then reunited in July 2013 while filming X-Men: Days Of Future Past.

Hotly anticipated: Jennifer was perhaps doing a promotional shoot for the magazine in the run-up to the release of the next Hunger Games installment 

In May 2013, the Hunger Games actress and the Warm Bodies actor walked the red carpet separately at the Met Gala.

Nicholas was subsequently pictured partying into the wee hours with his Mad Max: Fury Road co-star Riley at a Met Gala after party. 

The following day, they were seen moseying around Soho in New York City. 

In May, Jennifer shed some light on how she maintains her relationship with Nicholas.

Jennifer Lawrence undergoes quite the transformation as she shapeshifts from '70s femme fatale Raven Darkholme to blue-skinned gun-toting Mystique in the latest instalment of the X-Men franchise, titled Days Of Future Past.

In new stills released ahead of the film's May 23 premiere, the 23-year-old dons two very different looks as viewers are taken back in time to the event that changed the course of history for mutants everywhere.

With a group of giant robots called Sentinels wiping them off the face of the planet, it's up to Wolverine to travel back 40 years in time to intervene and save them all.

That's more like it: The star then undergoes quite the transformation as she's covered in head-to-toe blue body paint complete with scales, a slicked-back red 'do and yellow eyes to portray the gun-toting mutant Mystique

The Oscar-winning actress looks very much like her American Hustle character as she slips into a low-cut little black dress, complete with thick brown belt with large gaudy gold buckle and a long camel-coloured coat featuring white fur trim, and with her hair golden and styled in curls.

It's certainly in stark contrast to her bright red slicked-back locks, head-to-toe blue scaly body paint and yellow eyes when in her natural mutant form.

The gun-wielding image is apt considering it's her actions in assassinating a political figure that leads to the trouble in the first place. 

Another behind-the-scenes snap shows Ellen Page being directed by Bryan Singer in her role of Kitty Pryde as she uses her powers to send Wolverine back to 1973.

Fans also get a glimpse of the return of Storm, played by Halle Berry, who hasn't appeared in an X-Men movie since 2006's The Last Stand.

Singer, who returns to the director's chair for the first time since X-Men 2 in 2003, has dubbed the latest movie an 'interquel' - neither a sequel nor a prequel.

'It's a new thing, as opposed to another X-Men picture. That part is challenging and kind of fun. The key is making something where the past and the future can intertwine, and there's a logic to it,' he explains to DenOfGeek.com.

Real-life couple Lawrence and Nicholas Hoult are also reunited in the film, with the English actor reprising his role of Hank McCoy, aka fellow blue-hued Beast.

Back to her roots: Halle Berry reprises her role as Storm complete with her signature white locks for the first time since 2006's The Last Stand

Game Of Thrones favourite Peter Dinklage also stars with a very '70s hairdo and thick moustache in the flick as Bolivar Trask, a military scientist and creator of the Sentinel, which is dubbed 'the most advanced weapon since Oppenheimer'.

'Trask's agenda... he's very good at what he does. He sees humanity threatened, and he has the ability to protect it, so that's what he chooses to do...' Dinklage tells DenOfGeek.com.

Michael Fassbender also dons two decidedly different looks in the stills as he embodies the younger version of Sir Ian McKellen's Erik Lehnsherr, aka Magneto.

The Irish-German star looks rather suave in all black complete with sunglasses and a fedora as he struts along, before suiting up in his famed deep red armour as the all-powerful superhero.

Speaking to DenOfGeek.com about Wolverine's role in the film, Hugh Jackman explains how his character takes on the pivotal task entrusted to Kitty Pryde in the comics.

'I go back and find a younger Charles Xavier in a more vulnerable place, a slightly less wise place,
a difficult place where I can play the role for him that he would later play for me,' he reveals. 'It's poignant and beautifully brought out in the script.'

Speaking of the Professor, while he's not in these newly-released images, fear not, as both James McAvoy and Patrick Stewart return to play him in his younger and older incarnations respectively.

They have been rumoured to be back together for months now.

And after sparks flew between Jennifer Lawrence and Nicholas Hoult at Comic-Con last month, on Saturday it appeared that the pair finally confirmed their on-again romance.

The duo arrived arm-in-arm to a private wrap party for their new film, X-Men: Days Of Future Past, in Montreal, Canada.

So it's back on then? Jennifer Lawrence and Nicholas Hoult seemingly confirmed that they were an item again as they arrived arm-in-arm to a wrap party for their film X-Men: Days Of Future Past in Montreal on Saturday 

With her hand firmly nestled underneath the British star's arm, Jennifer, 23, looked at ease with the actor.

And The Hunger Games star was certainly dressed to impressed, showing off her lean legs in a bright yellow miniskirt and flashing a hint of her black bra in a sheer black top.  

She rounded out the ensemble with a pair of platform shoes that boosted her already statuesque five foot eight height.

The young starlet wore her shoulder length hair out in a straight style and had a fully made-up visage.

Meanwhile, About A Boy star Nicholas, also 23, was casual in a pair of waxed jeans, a light grey T-shirt and a red shirt which was completely unbuttoned.

As the pair made their way into the bash they stopped to sign autographs for fans.

Jennifer and Nicholas were last pictured together at Comic-Con in July where they were promoting their new movie, X-Men: Days Of Future Past.  

Chemistry: The chemistry between the couple was undeniable 

And the chemistry between the pair still appeared be hot.

The rumor mill was sparked that the couple were back together back in April when Nicholas and Jennifer were spotted trying to leave out the back door of a West Hollywood, California, eatery.

But then a month later the two attended the star-studded Met Ball Gala in New York City -- arriving solo and keeping their distance.

When production on the film picked up in June, witnesses reported the young stars -- who began dating while working on the first prequel -- taking lunches together on the set and sharing down time together with their families.

Last month, they were spotted together again and Oscar winner Jennifer reportedly told people during one trip to a local HMV record store on 13 July that she was 'in love again'.

The pair cited their home locales as one reason for the separation back in January, with Jennifer living near her parents in Los Angeles and Nicholas splitting his time between Hollywood and his residence in his native U.K.

Speaking to Elle magazine last December, Jennifer said: 'My boyfriend is honestly my best friend, and hopefully I'm his best friend too.

'He's my favourite person to be around and he makes me laugh harder than anybody.'

The latest X-Men film, Days of Future Past will hit theatres on 24 May 2014.

It also features series stalwarts Patrick Stewart, Sir Ian McKellen, Hugh Jackman and Halle Berry as they are asked to travel back in time to save their younger selves.

Nicholas Hoult looks Beast-ly as he transforms into X-Men alter ego to shoot Days Of Future Past fight scene with Michael Fassbender

Last week fans were treated to a sneak peek of how Jennifer Lawrence will look in the new X-Men movie.

And while she made a striking image, painted in top-to-toe blue, it's Nicholas Hoult who is drawing all the looks this week.

The actor, who is rumoured to have rekindled his romance with Jennifer recently, has now debuted how he will look in X-Men: Days Of Future Past.

As fans of the first X-Men sequel will know, Nicholas' character Hank McCoy tried to cure himself of his mutation, which causes him to have ape-like feet and super strength. However, the cure backfired, and Hank's transformation into Beast began.

And the first images of Nicholas in character on set in in Montreal, Canada, while filming the next prequel show that Hank has now been entirely taken over by the mutation - with blue, furry skin, claws and fangs for teeth.

And he's one blue beast if the images of recent scenes are anything to go by which show him getting into a fight with Michael Fassbender, who plays the young Magneto.

The actor, 23, looked a picture as he strolled around the set with a cola in hand during one break.

Not only was he painted in head to toe blue, but he was even given bulging arm and leg muscles to add to his imposing appearance.

He stood out as he chatted to crew members while hovering above them dressed in dark brown trousers and an orange shirt.

But when he was chatting and laughing with the crew and cast, he was tussling with Fassbender as they filmed fight scenes while throwing each other in water.

As Michael, 36, was pushed completely under the water, Nicholas looked frightening as the Beast as he put on his claws as gloves.

Just a few days ago Jennifer was also seen wandering around set in full body make-up.

Jennifer, 22, looked in fine figure wearing just a skin-tight bodysuit and blue bodypaint.

And she seemed in ebullient mood as she hammed it up with former boyfriend Nicholas Hoult on her way back to the make-up trailer, which is sure to fuel rumours the pair have hitched up together again.

She was spotted chatting and making funny faces at the 23-year-old English hunk, who made his name playing Tony Stonem in cult Channel 4 hit Skins.

If they have reunited on set it would certainly be appropriate, as their two-year relationship started after they met while filming 2011's X-Men: First Class.

Jennifer previously revealed she actually enjoyed the seven-hours in make-up required for her to appear as the shape-shifting mutant Mystique.

She said: 'There was no CG for me. It’s the same technology and the same methods they were using on Rebecca Romijn, the original Mystique ten years ago.

'I know everybody feels sorry for me, but we’re having so much fun. It’s like a sleepover, except I’m naked and being painted.'

X-Men: Days of Future Past is scheduled to be released on July 18, 2014 and while focussing on the cast of  First Class, it also features series stalwarts Patrick Stewart, Sir Ian McKellen and Halle Berry.

And followers of the franchise will be particularly interested in seeing Hoult's image overhaul as it will be the first time he will be transformed on screen.

She is known for her long auburn locks and edgier sense of style.

But Hunger Games star Jennifer Lawrence has been totally transformed for a new photo shoot in W magazine.

The 22-year-old looks like a living Barbie doll as she dons a blonde wig for the spread inside February's issue.

Wearing a candy pink Dior cotton dress and pearls, the actress displays her famous curves as she poses in front of a group of men and women dressed in retro attire. 

In her interview with the magazine, Jennifer talks about her tendency to not conform to Hollywood standards.

The young star, who recently coined herself 'fat, by Hollywood's standards' still resides in the same small Santa Monica condo she moved into at 16-year's-old, and can still recite the entire Dumb & Dumber movie .

And she certainly doesn't like being lied to.

When asked what superpower she would most like to possess, Jennifer tells W: 'It would be horrible to read people’s thoughts.

'I always know when I’m being lied to, and that drives me nuts.”

The down-to-earth star, who is known for remaining true to herself, says being honest just comes naturally to her.

'I don’t think I’m particularly brave or bold or different from anyone else,' she says. 'I just think this is an easier way to be.'

Jennifer also reveals that she is slightly superstitious, a tendency which is touched on in her movie, Silver Linings Playbook.

In the interview, which was conducted before she split with her boyfriend of two years Nicholas Hoult earlier this month, she admits that she started a little ritual after the British actor bought a motorcycle. 

'I am like the movie in one way: I’m superstitious,' she says. 'Whenever it’s 11:11, I make all of the people around me wish that my boyfriend not get killed in a motorbike accident.

'He just bought a motorbike, and I think my ritual will keep him alive.

'The other night, at 11:11 p.m., I told an entire bar to say, "Nick will not die in a motorbike accident." And they did it.'

Reports that Jennifer split from Hoult emerged earlier this month, with insiders revealing that the pair 'grew apart'.

Jennifer has emerged as one of Hollywood’s hottest talents after her performances in Winter’s Bone, X-Men First Class, The Hunger Games and Silver Linings Playbook.

She attributes her success in acting to her childhood, when she was a 'big liar.'

'I was just like a pathological liar when I was a kid,' she recently said. 'I just always lied about everything and I think it was partly I just wanted to one-up somebody.'

They've remained coy over their romance since they started dating on the set of X-Men nearly two years ago.

However, Jennifer Lawrence has now broken her silence on her boyfriend Nicholas Hoult, praising him for being so modest when it comes to his handsome looks.

As she makes her debut on the UK edition of Vogue, the Hunger Games actress admits her British lover doesn't spend much time maintaining his sex symbol status.

Nicholas, 22, became a pin-up as playing teen lothario Tony Stonem in hit TV show Skins.

When asked if he spends much time on his appearance, Kentucky-native Jennifer tells the November issue: 'Oh, he really doesn’t care... like he'll sometimes wear these white tennis shoes with jeans, then tuck his pants into his socks.

'He has absolutely no idea how good-looking he is… I think a lot of women and men hate me because of that.'

After being Oscar nominated for Winter's Bone, Jennifer leaped to worldwide fame earlier this year when she starred as Katniss Everdeen in The Hunger Games movie.

The American actress is now filming the upcoming sequel Catching Fire, which is due for release in 2013.

She recently appeared on screens in horror film House At The End Of The Street.

She admitted she actually hates horror films and has become incredibly jumpy since making the film.

She said recently: 'In real life I'm terrified of horror movies. If I want to watch one, I have to plan out the next three months of my life, because I'll know I'm going to be afraid of everything - afraid of the dark, afraid of elevators, afraid of my shadow.

'I thought if I had the experience of actually being in one it would make me less afraid of seeing them.'
