Eastenders Spolier Alert: Alfie Moon arrives at airport to try and stop Kat from leaving

SPOILER ALERT: Just in the nick of time? Alfie Moon arrives at airport to try and stop Kat from leaving... after ditching Roxy on wedding day

He is set to leave his wife-to-be Roxy Mitchell on their wedding day after struggling to fight off his feelings for his ex-wife Kat Slater.
And it seems his reunion with his ex may come sooner rather than later as Shane Richie, who plays Alfie Moon was seen filming scenes for EastEnders alongside Jessie Wallace (Kat) on Friday.
Alfie was spotted arriving at the airport by scooter and by the looks of it he arrives just in time to stop Kat from leaving.

The pair were joined by Patsy Palmer, who plays Bianca, and they were seen sitting around in between filming scenes.
Bianca was seen embracing Kat after what looked like an emotional conversation, suggesting that Kat does in fact board her flight.
At the beginning of this month, Shane dropped his biggest hint yet that the pair were set to reunite.
Speaking to Bella magazine, he said: ‘The storyline that we are about to film is massive, it's a big story for my character, which I am really looking forward to.
‘I hope Kat and Alfie reunite. It is something that may happen very soon but I couldn't possibly say.’

Earlier this week the EastEnders cast were spotted filming the wedding scenes in Southend, Essex, with Alfie going to great lengths to rush to the airport to stop Kat from leaving.
Having ditched poor Roxy at the alter, Alfie and best man Ian Beale jump in a car to race to Southend airport.
However, after their vehicle is stuck behind a car accident, Alfie is worried he'll have to continue his journey on foot.

Finding a pizza delivery man, a desperate Alfie asks Ian for his wallet and his watch and uses them to finance the 'loan' of the motorbike.
As Kat and Alfie split in December 2012 after he found out about her affair with unlikely love interest Derek Branning.
However, the lovable landlord didn't hang around too long and was in a romance with Roxy within weeks.
As viewers know though, Alfie has always held a candle for his ex-wife, despite her past indiscretions.

Currently, Alfie and Roxy are clashing on-screen after he demanded she stops seeing her sister Ronnie (Samantha Womack), who has been released from prison for kidnapping his son Tommy.
A devastated Ronnie swapped her own dead baby James for Tommy after finding her son had died from sudden infant death syndrome.
Although relieved when they found out Tommy was alive, neither Kat or Alfie have been able to forgive Ronnie, causing an awkward situation for her sister Roxy.

Red Carpet arrivals at The British Soap Awards and Nominee list

The skin awards! Brooke Vincent, Preeya Kalidas and Chelsea Halfpenny leave little to the imagination in eye-popping gowns

Traditionally the red carpet is a chance for female celebrities to show of their individual style in elegant ball gowns.
However the stars of the 2012 Soap Awards opted to do things much differently and show off as much of their best assets as possible.
The scenes from the London TV Centre saw the faces of popular TV shows compete against each other to see who could display the most cleavage without actually going topless.

Leading the cleavage games was Coronation Street's Brooke Vincent who donned a very daring purple number.
The 19-year-old's dress was made up of a very low neckline which stopped just above her navel.
Her dress also had an extremely low back which surprisingly didn't fall victim to a wardrobe malfunction as it was fitted perfectly to her slender frame.

Chelsea Halfpenny also chose a plunging gown

Next in line, hoping to be crowned queen of the red carpet, in an equally risky gown, was actress and singer, Preeya Kalidas who is better known as Amira Masood from Eastenders.
She showed up in a red floor length gown which looked like it might have been one dress size too small as it was a case of cup runneth over.

Emmerdale's Chelsea Halfpenny, also put her bid in with a peach strapless maxi dress.
Halfpenny, 20, looked slightly out of place as it appeared she had forgotten to brush her hair in the rush to get ready for the ceremony.

Michelle Keegan, up for sexiest female at the awards, looked elegant in a shimmering navy blue, one-shouldered gown.

Former Spice Girls Emma Bunton and Mel C both turned up, and teamed on the red carpet for some cosy snaps.
The duo looked farm more low-key than the soap star attendees, with Emma in a black dress, jazzed up by leopard-print heels, and Mel wearing slimline trousers and an elegant cream blouse.
