Star of the show! Thandie Newton wears a vintage beaded dress to the premiere of new TV series Rogue

Thandie Newton has starred in some of the biggest films of the last ten years, but has never really stepped into the leading role... until now.
As the main actress in new TV series Rogue, the 40-year old attended the New York premiere in impeccable style, wearing a vintage beaded dress featuring shooting stars and letter images.
In a Zac Posen jacket, with her lips painted red, Thandie couldn't contain her smile or excitement at the screening of her thrilling series.

In the DirecTV show, Thandie plays Grace Travis, an undercover police detective who is out for revenge after the mysterious death of her son.
Hell bent on finding the truth, Grace goes rogue in order to find the answers and exact vengeance on those involved.
But along the way the mourning mother gets caught up with a dangerously powerful family, after striking up a relationship with crime boss, Jimmy Laszlo (Marton Csokas) who may just be involved in her son's murder.

Expressing those motherly emotions shouldn't be a problem for Thandie as she has two daughters, Ripley, 12, and Nico, 8.
But the kids were waiting at home for their mum as she attended Rogue's New York premiere on at the Tribeca Grand hotel, accompanied by her castmates Joshua Sasse, Matthew Beard and Leah Gibson.
Like Thandie, Joshua and Matthew are also British, continuing the UK invasion into American prime time television.

Together they follow in the footsteps of Johnny Lee Miller (Elementary), Damien Lewis (Homeland), and Andrew Lincoln (The Walking Dead).
Producers of the show will no doubt be hoping for the same success with their latest offering as they did with previous hits Friday Night Lights and Damages.
Rogue premieres Stateside on April 3 at 9/8c on DirecTV's Audience Network.
