Emeli Sandé picks up THREE gongs at the MOBO Awards 2012 + List of Winners

She wowed the country with her performances during both the opening and the closing ceremonies of the Olympics this summer, and Emeli Sandé is continuing her reign as music's hottest new thing.
The Heaven singer picked up three gong at the MOBO Awards on Saturday evening, making her the biggest winner of the night.
The 25-year-old pop star was awarded Best R&B/Soul, Best Album and Best Female Act at the awards gala that was held in the Echo Arena in Liverpool.

The star beamed as she carried her three awards back home, dressed in an elegant red satin top and black pencil skirt.
Emeli, who was first featured at the MOBO Awards in 2010, also opened the evening with a performance of a specially crafted rendition of her hit song My Kind of Love.
Clutching her three awards after the ceremony, Sande said she was 'over the moon' with her haul.
She added: 'I really didn't expect to win three and getting the Album of the Year was a big thing for me, so I feel like all the hard work pays off when you get acknowledgement like that.'

The singer was in good company, as other stars including Nicki Minaj, JLS and Rita Ora also received awards for their contributions to the R&B music industry.
The night was hosted by Miquita Oliver and Adam Deacon, as celebrities and music artists including Jennifer Metcalfe, Delilah and Rebecca Ferguson were all in attendance.
Plan B was also one of the big winners of the evening, as he received accolades for Best Male Act and Best Hip Hop/Grime, which he collected from pop star Rita Ora.
Meanwhile, the RIP singer herself flew in especially from the United States to pick up her first award ever, that of Best Newcomer.

Later on in the evening, American pop sensation from the 90s TLC was awarded a special award for their Outstanding Contribution to Music. 
Band members Tionne 'T-Boz' Watkins and Rozonda 'Chilli' Thomas flew over from America to collected the accolade, while family members of Lisa 'Left Eye' Lopez also attended to celebrate the honour on her behalf.
Dionne Warwick presented the band responsible for hits such as Scrubs and Don't Go Chasing Waterfalls with the award.
Other winners included JLS, who picked up the gong for Best Video, Labrinth who went home with the honour of the Best Song prize and Nicki Minaj who won the award for Best International Act.

Emeli also recently got married, and she revealed that tying the knot had helped keep her feet on the ground.
'Being married is great,' she said.
'When everything's going crazy in my career, it's nice to feel secure at home. I feel very grounded.'
Talking about her plans over the next few months, she said: 'Coming up, the November tour starts, which is the biggest tour I've done in the UK so far and, after that, Christmas.'
'I've been writing for a lot of people, so I'll be starting to think about new material and things I want to write.'
