They're both hoping to win an award or two tonight, so it was no surprise to see that Rita Ora and Taylor Swift had made some effort.
The two singers arrived at the MTV Europe Music Awards looking absolutely stunning as they walked the red carpet.
Leading the way in the style stakes, the famous pair ensured that they stood out at the annual event, which is being held in Frankfurt, Germany.

Rita, 21, decided to blend in with the carpet by opting for a bright red Marchesa gown.
The glamorous garment featured a nude long-sleeved top which was adorned with red floral detailing, and a large floor-length skirt which wrapped around the singer's tiny waist.
The Hot Right Now star accessorised her attire with bright red lipstick and her trademark blonde hair, which she wore in bouncy curls.

The British singer couldn't hide her excitement as she sported a huge grin while posing for the cameras.
However, she did need a helping hand as she made her way inside the venue and was seen having her skirt carried by a mystery man.
She was threatened in the style stakes by country singer Taylor Swift, who wore an equally glamorous dress which didn't require any help in carrying.

The 22-year-old star showed off her slender figure in a cream-coloured J.Mendel design which featured silver sequin detail, and also fell to the floor.
As Taylor posed with her left hand on her hip, she looked particularly sultry with her fringed hairstyle and smoky eye make-up.
She spent time chatting on the red carpet with fellow U.S. singer Lana Del Rey who wore a much more understated dress.

The pretty brunette highlighted her curves in a navy blue satin gown that featured short sleeves, a tiered hemline and a wrap around waist.
The Video Games singer kept her make-up and her beehive minimalistic and brought along her boyfriend Barrie-James O'Neill who opted to wear an all-black outfit.
Another singer who showed up looking sleek and chic was Alicia Keys who opted for the popular 'optical illusion' dress by Stella McCartney.

As she posed with her hands on her hips, the Fallin' singer showed off her sleek bob hairstyle before heading inside the venue.
