Jennifer Lawrence was flawless once again on the red carpet as she celebrated the premiere of her new movie Joy in New York City.

The 25-year-old braved the cold to bare some cleavage in a spaghetti-strap plunging white dress that hugged her lithe figure.

The backless gown fell loosely to the floor from a thin bodice and included a short train that enhanced Jennifer's goddess look.

Heavenly: Jennifer Lawrence kept it simple in a plunging white gown as she stepped out at the premiere of her new movie Joy in New York City on Sunday evening

She wore her blonde blunt cut bob parted on one side and feathered at the neck.

Joy marks the third time she has worked for director David O. Russell and the fourth she's co-starred with Bradley Cooper.

It's already earned her a nomination for the Golden Globe for Best Supporting Actress in a Comedy or Musical.

The movie has also been nominated for a Best Picture - Musical or Comedy Golden Globe.

The movie is about a young woman who is determined to become a businesswoman and entrepreneur despite the obstacles in her way.

Through her endeavors she becomes the founder and matriarch of a powerful dynasty.

The plot is loosely based on the real-life story of Joy Mangano, the inventor of the Miracle Mop.

J-Law's date for her big night was her dad Gary Lawrence.

They were seen leaving her hotel together for the short journey to the premiere that was held at the Ziegfeld Theatre.

The actress wore a bright white jacket over her gown for the trip and carried a black, gold and silver clutch purse while her father looked dapper in a suit and tie.

Paternal support: Jennifer looked pensive as she left her hotel accompanied by her father Gary Lawrence and headed to the premiere at Manhattan's Ziegfeld Theatre

Coordinated look: As she walked, Jennifer revealed the strappy heels she was wearing under her full-length gown and her black pedicure and manicure matched the designer clutch she carried

Man of the moment: Bradley starred with Jennifer in Russell's movies Silver Linings Playbook and American Hustle. He also worked together with the actress in the film Serena

As well as Cooper, the David O. Russell film also stars Robert De Niro, Isabella Rossellini, Diane Ladd, Edgar Ramirez, Elisabeth Rohm and Dascha Polanco.

De Niro, of course, starred for the director in 2012's Silver Linings Playbook which won Jennifer her Best Actress Academy Award.

The two-time Oscar winner came to the Joy premiere with his wife Grace Hightower and Australian businessman and billionaire James Packer.

In late October, De Niro and Packer, who's dating Mariah Carey, announced they were becoming partners in the actor's Nobu restaurant and hotel chain.

New pals: The couple were accompanied by Australian businessman James Packer who bought a 20 percent stake in the actor's Nobu restaurant and hotel chain in late October

Stylish: Blue Velvet actress Isabella Rossellini, who has a role in the movie, created some buzz by pairing a black jumpsuit with a taupe cape embellished with embroidered bees and ropes of chunky pearls

Supporting role: Dascha Polanco plays Jennifer's best friend in the film and the Orange Is The New Black actress opted for a white satin dress

English beauty: Game of Thrones star Natalie Dormer was one of the guests at the premiere and showed up in a stunning scarlet two-piece suit with a plunging black top and pointed toe black pumps with matching clutch

Based on her life: Jennifer's character is based on Joy Mangano, the creator of the Miracle Mop. She was also a guest at the special screening

They appeared to be following orders from the same dress memo.

On Thursday evening, Devious Maids star Roselyn Sánchez, 41, and Gossip Girl star Kelly Rutherford, 45, both went for very plunging necklines.

However, Roselyn just about edged it, with her low-cut top almost reaching down to her navel.

The pair were out for the event Vanidades hosts Icons of Style Gala at Mandarin Oriental in New York City, and were joined by singer Thalia.

It has certainly been a tough time for Kelly recently, but she appears to be moving on with her life.

She was ordered earlier last month to return her two young children to ex-husband Daniel Giersch in France after losing a legal bid to keep them in the US.

Her seven-year-old son Hermes and five-year-old daughter Helena spent the summer with Kelly but were court ordered to be sent back to France on August 19 to live with their father.

It was ruled two years ago by a California court that Giersch could take their two children to France to live with him after he was exiled from the US, and that they could spend holidays with their mother.

German-born Giersch had his O1 visa – granted to individuals with Extraordinary Ability or Achievement - revoked two years ago. The State Department will not comment on the reason for this, only to say it is classified.

A California judge in order to maintain a 50/50 caretaking split granted Giersch custody because he cannot travel to the US as a visitor to see the children.

Rita Ora may have found herself surrounded by a room full of models on Tuesday night, but the British songstress certainly held her own.

The 22-year-old looked a million bucks as she hit the red carpet at the Gabrielle's Angel Foundation 2013 Angel Ball, held at Cipriani Wall Street in New York City.

The benefit, in aid of cancer research, saw the city's sexiest women - not to mention some equally gorgeous men: Hello, Hugh Jackman! - don their finest gowns for the occasion.

Picture-perfect: The 22-year-old's shimmering frock perfectly enhanced her golden skintone and platinum cropped locks, while she added a pop of colour with cherry lips and matching nails

The Hot Right Now singer most definitely lived up to her song title in her elegant gold fishtail number, from the Donna Karan Atelier range, which gave the effect that it was dripping molten liquid and featured a draped gold beaded neckline.

Chunky platinum rings adorned almost every finger, while she a matching snakeskin clutch, earrings and bracelets completed the dazzling look.

Red talons picked up the colour of her glossy cheery lips and she played up her eyes with a healthy lashing of mascare and kohl liner.

A vision in blue: The Smash star and mom-of-one looked stunning in her royal blue low-cut halterneck gown, while she wore her trademark long red lock in curls over one shoulder to show off her matching drop earrings

She kept her cropped blonde looks in a contrasting yet complementary messy, wavy style.

Model Karolina Kurkova keep it simple yet chic in a black column gown with sexy cutouts that gave the slim beauty some shape.

The 29-year-old kept her blonde her loose and added little more than a slick of red lippie and two matching diamond cuffs on each wrist.

Jessica White also proved her style credentials in a daring sheer backless frock that protected her modesty only with well-placed white lace detailing.

Voluminous capped shoulders and a high neckline added a certain amount of class to the 29-year-old model's highly-detailed ensemble.

Adding some colour to the occasion was Selita Ebanks, who was picture-perfect in a deep turquoise long-sleeved slinky dress with embellished shoulder detail.

The stunning model, 30, slicked her hair back and played up her eyes with a shimmer of gold while keeping the rest of her look minimal, with little more than a pair of dangly earrings.

Actress Debra Messing, 45, proved she can also hang with a much younger and genetically-intimidating crowd as she slipped into a royal blue low-cut halterneck number.

Still got that newlywed glow: Singer Pharrell Williams put his stamp on an otherwise mundane suit as he was accompanied by equally funky new wife Helen Lasichanh, who paired a sequinned dress with biker boots

The mom-of-one also chose to forgo lipstick in favour of emphasising her eyes, while she wore her signature long red locks in voluminous curls over one shoulder, enabling her to show off her striking blue earrings in the process.

Legendary Grammy-winning singer-songwriter Chaka Khan showed that she's still got it as she struck a pose in her figure-hugging black sequinned gown featuring a short train and three-quarter sleeves.

The 60-year-old, who took to the stage to perform during the evening's festivities, wore her dark locks in tight curls and added some contrast to her dark smokey eyes with a pop of red on her lips.

Also joining in on the model-fest were Russian Sports Illustrated favourite Irina Shayk, Alyssa Miller, who is best known as actor Jake Gyllenhaal's other half, Albanian Angela Martini, Australian Shanina Shaik and Swedish-born Elsa Hosk - all of whom were more than happy to flash the flesh in their stunning emsembles.

Providing entertainment for the evening was Pharrell Williams, who was Styled To Rock in a black suit with rolled sleeves and legs, polished black dress shoes and a white shirt.

He was accompanied to the gala by his new bride, model and designer Helen Lasichanh, who showed off her own unique flare for fashion in a black and emerald sequinned knee-length frock paired with black opaque tights, matching lace-up calf-length boots and a long gold necklace.

Hugh Jackman looked suave as ever as he took to the podium alongside wife Deborra-Lee Furness as they presented an award to her honoree mother, Faye Duncan.

The trio were in perfect unison in their black outfits, with the star in a dapper suit, his wife rocking pants, a top, an off-the-shoulder cardigan and platform peep-toe heels and his mother-in-law wearing a flowy dress with sheer overlay.

Not to be outdone by the hunky Aussie star, R'n'B hitmaker Usher rocked an old-school '80s look, complete with afro.

The 35-year-old U Got It Bad singer complemented his 'do with a standout glittering suit and funky bow tie and certainly succeeded in standing out as he was joined by pal Pharrell and music mogul Clive Davis.
