Sheridan Smith at the Royal Television Society Programme Awards + Sair Khan, Tisha Merry, Keeley Hawes, Claudia Winkleman and Jodie Whittaker

Sheridan Smith keeps new tattoo firmly under wraps as she arrives at the Royal Television Society Programme Awards in plunging black gown

She took a committed step forward in her relationship with Hollyoaks actor Greg Wood this week by getting a sentimental tattoo.
But Sheridan Smith kept her new ink hidden from view on the red carpet at the Royal Television Society Programme Awards in London on Tuesday night.
The 33-year-old actress looked stunning in a plunging black gown as she arrived at the awards, where she is nominated for the Female Actor prize.

Sheridan walked the glittering blue carpet at the at the Grosvenor House Hotel in a shimmering floor-length dress.
The statement number featured a sheer front panel which showed off the actress' curves, but not her new tattoo.
With her short blonde hair slicked back and some dark smouldering eye make-up, Sheridan looked ready for a night of mingling with the best of British television talent at the annual awards.

The actress is competing against Georgina Campbell for Murdered By My Boyfriend and Sarah Lancashire for Happy Valley in the Female Actor category, thanks to her critically acclaimed lead role in ITV's drama Cilla.
As well as her booming acting career, Sheridan has been keeping busy with her new romance.
The star was spotted at a tattoo parlor recently with her actor boyfriend Greg, where they proved their commitment to each other by getting matching ink.
Greg and Sheridan designed their own 'All In' pair of aces, which Sheridan had inked on her ribs, while Greg went for pride of place on his upper arm.

For BAFTA and NTA winning actress Sheridan, she had the poignant words 'Gregory's Girl' written above a card in the suit of hearts.
Greg - who is currently going through a divorce- had 'My Sheri Amour' tattooed on his shoulder, a sign that they both see a long future in their current relationship.
The pair were first seen together at Liverpool’s Smugglers Cove restaurant on January 15, after apparently striking up a bond during an exchange of flirty Twitter messages in November 2014.

There was no sign of Greg at the RTS Programme Awards though, with Sheridan walking the sparkly carpet solo.
Also spotted arriving for the big night in the TV calendar was Broadchurch star Jodie Whittaker, who showed off her growing baby bump in a figure hugging purple dress.
EastEnders actors Adam Woodyatt and Laurie Brett arrived together, while Keeley Hawes gave Sheridan a run for her money in her own revealing black gown.

Daisy Lowe wears a negligee dress to fashion dinner

Hello boys! Daisy Lowe wears a negligee dress to fashion dinner while Jaime Winstone wears a coat... and little else!

The gorgeous model arrived to a private dinner to celebrate Louis Vuitton's autumn/winter 2013 menswear collection, wearing a lingerie-inspired dress that hugged her every curve to perfection.
But Daisy, 24, wasn't the only lady turning heads, as her friend Jaime Winstone arrived wearing a coat as a dress, with seemingly little else underneath it.

The outfits were most likely provided by the fashion label host, but the girls certainly made each garment their own thanks to their individual styling.
Daisy allowed her dress to garner the most attention, wearing nude peep-toe strappy heels with a simple make-up design to match, and only a silver bracelet and tiny bag to add any shine not given by the sequins shimmering from the hem of her skirt.
Jaime, 28, went for a far more colourful look, seemingly inspired by Rizzo from Grease, thanks to the strawberry-blonde bob, red lipstick and fifties-inspired heels to add height to the actress's diminutive frame.

Winstone matched the gold of the coat/dress's buttons to the chain on her Louis Vuitton envelope bag, and finished off the retro look with a red manicure.
Also going for a rockier vibe was model Erin O'Connor, who wore an oversized black biker jacket over her shoulders, a sequined top, and a fitted skirt with matching strappy black sandals.
Her short raven-coloured crop was coiffed to perfection, and like Jaime, Erin opted for a Louis Vuitton clutch bag.

But the night wasn't just put on to celebrate the new A/W2013 from the designer lavel, but also the the Curated Shelf from artists Jake and Dinos Chapman.
The artistic phrase is a term used to describe an event where the designer displays the works of artists which have influenced them during their design process.

While a bearded Douglas Booth - looking awfully like the slave Jean Valjean in the movie version of Les Miserablé - may well have been inspired by Bruno Mars when picking his outfit, opting for a metallic prom-style tuxedo with bow tie.

Is Rory Kinnear the new Doctor Who? Bookmakers suspend bets on new Time Lord after 'BBC bosses offer actor the role'

Is Rory Kinnear the new Doctor Who? Bookmakers suspend bets on new Time Lord after 'BBC bosses offer actor the role'

Is Rory Kinnear the new Doctor Who? Ladbrokes have closed their book on bets about the new Time Lord's identity
Is Rory Kinnear the new Doctor Who? Ladbrokes have closed their book on bets about the new Time Lord's identity
It's the most sought-after role of the moment.
But betting on the identity of the next Dr Who has been suspended by a bookmaker after reports that Rory Kinnear has been offered the role.
Kinnear, son of the character actor Roy Kinnear, was offered the job by show bosses who are awaiting his response, it was claimed.
The 35-year-old actor, who has played the spy Tanner in the last two James Bond films Skyfall and Quantum of Solace, is apparently up for the role after Matt Smith announced he was turning his back on the Tardis.
Bookmakers Ladbrokes said on Sunday they were no longer taking bets on Smith's replacement after Kinnear was backed into 2/1 favourite after the reports.
Kinnear, who has also appeared in several television series, had previously only been the third in the betting at 5/1 leaving Ben Daniels as the 2/1 favourite before the gamble began.
Alex Donohue of Ladbrokes said: 'All bets are now off when it comes to the identity of the next Dr Who.
'Kinnear had always been a popular punt but after a flurry of activity which pushed him into favouritism we closed the book.'
The BBC refused to comment about Kinnear becoming the next time lord but a source said: 'It is just pure speculation.
'We are still at the start of the casting process. By late autumn should have been cast in their roles.'
Other names being suggested for the role include Chiwetel Ejiofor, Russell Tovey and Rupert Grint.
Fresh Meat star Zawe Ashton was put up as a potential Doctor by the Radio Times and she seemed to be pleased with the subsequent social media endorsements.
Writing on Twitter, Zawe, 29, said: 'Thankyou to all who have been concurring!!Ha! #AVeryNewWho'.

At the end of the last series, John Hurt was introduced as 'The Doctor' but many commentators do not think this puts him as the tweltfh Time Lord.
Hurt has stated that he plays 'part of the Doctor' in a “kind of trinity,” which includes David Tennant - who will return for the 50th anniversary episode - with Matt Smith.
Smith will say farewell to the TARDIS after this year's Christmas special.
The 30-year old actor has played the Time Lord for three years, and said: 'It's been an honour to play this role, to follow the legacy of brilliant actors. When ya gotta go, ya gotta go.'
