'I would have sung to her in the rain': Katherine Jenkins wears stunning silk gown to sing the National Anthem to the Queen (and Pudsey's there too!)

It is a day that the great British public have been looking forward to for some time now, but no one could have been more excited than Katherine Jenkins.
The 31-year-old singer began the Jubilee celebrations today by the singing the National Anthem to the Queen at Epsom Racecourse.
However, she wasn't the only famous one to perform at the start of the weekend's festivities as Britain's Got Talent winner, Pudsey, was also there.

But it was Katherine's turn to perform first, and she certainly made an effort for the special occasion.
Wearing a stunning lace and silk satin fishtail gown designed by Suzanne Neville, the Welsh star kept her hair and make-up minimalistic.
Following her rendition of the National Anthem, Katherine - who recently competed on Dancing With The Stars - admitted that she was having an 'amazing' day.

'It's incredible. I've been out of the country for three months, so to come back and do this is great,' she said.
Speaking about how it felt to perform in front of the Queen, Katherine said: For me it's such a huge honour. It's the first time that the National Anthem has been sung during these celebrations and I would never have hesitated. I would have sung to her in the rain.'

The classical-popular crossover singer went on to admit that is going to be involved in the Olympics this Summer, but added: ' I can't say in what way but all will be revealed soon.'
Katherine finished off by saying that what with the Jubilee celebrations and the 2012 Olympics, it is a 'great time in Britain,' and then it was over to Pudsey to show off his skills.
Joined by hos owner and trainer Ashleigh Butler, the six-year-old collie, Chinese crested and bichon frise cross was groomed to perfection as he performed one of his well-known routines.

The performance was of course a warm-up for the lovable pair as after winning the ITV1 reality show, they will take centre stage at the Royal Variety Show this year.
And it seems that the Queen certainly enjoyed both performances as she stood at the side with a huge smile on her face.
She was dressed rather appropriately in a regal blue coat and matching hat, with a white floral dress worn underneath.
Clearly taking style tips from her, Katherine then decided to change outfits and emerged wearing a bright blue Roland Mouret pencil dress with a Philip Traecy hat in the same colour and Jimmy Choo shoes.
