‘Ere yar! Look at me gummy smile’: Melanie Sykes shares childhood snaps that show she’s always had her famous grin

She may have shot to fame after her bikini-clad appearance in the Boddington’s beer advert.
But aside from Melanie Sykes’ broad Northern accent, it was always her cheeky grin that took centre stage.
And it seems that way before she became a household name, the 42-year-old always had her recognisable smile, which can be seen in childhood snaps shared by the TV presenter.

The beautiful brunette decided to liven up Monday afternoon by treating her Twitter followers to a glimpse of her past.
She started by sharing a picture of herself in a red polar neck jumper with her hair tied in pigtails while she is grinning wildly.
Captioning the image, she wrote: ‘Right you lot! Lets share childhood pics. Back when photographs actually were on paper! #pigtails oink oink.’

Straight away Melanie’s online friends began to share their own, which prompted her to share a second.
The next picture once again showed her with a wide smile on her face, while looking a bit older than in the first, she is more than recognisable as the star she is today.
She wrote: ‘Ere yar! Look at me gummy smile. No change there! Looool xxx’

Melanie appeared to be spending the day at home, as she revealed that she had some ‘domestic chores’ to take care of.
It’s no wonder Mel fancied shared her old happy snaps as she currently has plenty to smile about.
The TV star, who is set to tie the knot to her toyboy Jack Cockings in the not too distant future, has been spotted working out ahead of her big day.
The pretty brunette has been following a strict exercise regime to make sure she looks her absolute best for the big day.

She has previously told the MailOnline: 'On a good week if I'm not working I get in the gym between three and five times a week, an hour a time.
'I started training about four years ago. I was approaching 40 and just thought it would be quite good to get fit... I was slim, but it wasn't about that, it was about getting a bit fitter.'
Mel and Jack announced their engagement in August following a whirlwind romance after initially meeting on Twitter, and are thought to be tying the knot this May.
Speaking shortly after the announcement, she told the MailOnline: 'I am VERY excited about it. I'm in the middle of planning it with Jack so it's all good fun. It's really exciting.'
