So it's fitting that British actress Gemma Arterton should lead the stars at Sky's Women In Film and TV Awards on Friday evening.
The brunette beauty was spotted at the London Hilton for the twenty-fourth annual ceremony.

The Quantum of Solace actress was stylish in a black, lace dress which featured a floral design.
She matched the look with casually tousled hair and nude make-up for a demure, relaxed look.
To cap the outfit, she matched it with a pair of black, strappy shoes.

Gemma, who is starring in Made in Dagenham, has taken on the main part in the comedy musical, playing the character of Rita O'Grady.
A working mother who finds the strength to lead a group of women's fight for equal pay, Rita was made famous by Sally Hawkins who played her in the 2010 film.
The storyline is based on true events surrounding the strike against gender discrimination; it is set in a Ford factory in Essex during the 1960s.

Meanwhile, Vanessa Redgrave received The EON Productions Lifetime Achievement Award presented by Sir David Hare.
Born into an acting dynasty,Redgrave has starred in more than 80 films and is a six-time Oscar nominee, winning the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress for the title role in the 1977 film Julia.
She is the only British actress ever to win Emmy, Tony, Olivier, Cannes, Golden Globe Oscar and Screen Actors Guild awards. Redgrave’s recent films include Mission Impossible, Atonement, Coriolanus and The Butler.

Other winners included: Kate Hopkins, Julie Baines, Daisy Jacobs and Joanna Hogg.
Meanwhile, the event attracted a slew of presenters, including: Jon Snow, John Hannah, Baroness Oona King, Ronke Phillips, Clare Stewart and Tristan Oliver.
The event's CEO, Kate Kinninmont, said: 'Year after year these awards celebrate the talented women in film and television, and this year’s winners are a superb group of creative and outstanding women.
'We are particularly thrilled to honour Vanessa Redgrave’s remarkable career with The EON Lifetime Achievement award.'
