JADE NAMED WELSH SPORTS PERSONALITY OF THE YEAR
Olympic Gold medallist Jade Jones has tonight been named BBC Wales Sports Personality of the Year.
The 19 year old from North Wales received the award at a star-studded event at Cardiff's Millenium Stadium, having won a public vote for the prestigious award.
Speaking to BBC, Jade said: "It's like a great honour I can't believe I have won.
"There were so many great people I was up against and just the fact that the public got to vote, so it's such a great honour that people recognised what I have done."
The award comes just weeks after she was named Sunday Times Young Olympian of the Year and caps an incredible for Jade.
