Vanessa Hudgens drops case against 'stalker' from Africa who had no idea his love emails were harassing the actress

It's a culture clash thing! Vanessa Hudgens drops case against 'stalker' from Africa who had no idea his love emails were harassing the actress

It almost never happens - a stalking case with a happy ending.
Vanessa Hudgens and her lawyer Shawn Holley have managed to settle out of court with a man from Africa who flew to Los Angeles with just one aim...to marry the actress, according to TMZ.
Junior Kabongo deluged the 25-year-old with emails, saying in one: 'I love you and wanna marry you. I WRITE SCREENPLAYS. I wanna become a movie star.'

He also said: 'God gave me a penis to make you feel like you never did every time when we'll make love.'
Naturally, Vanessa involved the police about this alarming turn of events and LAPD detectives went to serve him with a temporary restraining order.
But in a twist worthy of a movie, the cops thought Junior was a decent guy.
He was 'extremely apologetic,' sources told TMZ, saying he was from another culture and had no idea he was being harassing or annoying.
They explained the culture clash situation to Shawn who then had to decide whether to go forward with the restraining order, making it permanent, in court on Thursday.

No threat to the star: The 25-year-old, pictured in Paris in October, learned from the LAPD that Junior Kabongo was a decent guy who was 'extremely apologetic' and had no idea his emails were causing offence

Apparently the lawyer called Junior and agreed with the detectives' assessment of the man.
She got him to sign an out-of-court binding agreement promising he would leave Vanessa alone, TMZ reported.
Result? Junior is now in film school and Vanessa will soon be jetting to Washington, D.C. to star in the Kennedy Center production of Gigi.
The star, who turns 26 on December 14, portrays a high-society courtesan in the 1958 Lerner & Loewe's musical opposite Corey Cott as Gaston Lachaille.
The show will run from January 16 through February 12 at the Eisenhower Theater.
Happy ending: Her lawyer phoned Junior and got the same impression of him as the detectives, so she got him to sign an out-of-court binding agreement promising to leave Vanessa alone
