  • Maria Sharapova looks fit and fresh as she prepares for the upcoming Wimbledon tournament
  • The 28-year-old's early exit from the French Open has meant she has had more time to recover and train between Grand Slams
  • Sharapova won Wimbledon as a teenager back in 2004

The 28-year-old has used the extended grass-court swing to train and recover from the flu that she was suffering from at the French Open, and following her early exit at Roland Garros, she has had nearly four weeks to prepare for the upcoming tournament.
This could prove hugely beneficial for the World No 4 who often has to deal with a quick turnaround between the Grand Slams, because of her usually deep runs in Paris.

However, the defeat by Lucie Safarova earlier this month which saw her duck out of the French Open's fourth round, could turn out to be a blessing in disguise, with the Russian star looking fully refreshed.
Sharapova won her maiden Grand Slam title at Wimbledon when she was still a teenager in 2004, but has only reached the final again once since then, in 2011.
Last year, she was knocked out by Angelique Kerber in the fourth round. Nevertheless, Sharapova retains an impressive 41-11 win-loss record at the famous contest.
This year's Wimbledon takes place between June 29  and July 12.
