Once Upon a Smile was founded in August 2011, by actors Daniel Jillings and Danny Miller.
Their website states: 'There were many reasons each of them had for setting up a charity, for Danny it was the tragic loss of a dear friend in 2010, former Emmerdale producer Gavin Blyth, who left behind his wife and young son.
'Gavin’s death highlighted the need for support for families that have lost a loved one. It soon became apparent that other than family and friends, there was a lack of support for families after the death of a loved one.
'We identified many support agencies if a loved one was ill or had a terminal illness, but nothing for the family after the death.
'At this point we made our decision, the new charity was going to provide support to families that had suffered the loss of a loved one, and was going to specifically be an "after care" for these families.'
Eye-catching: Ex On The Beach star, Laura Alicia Summers, was also present at the ball and put her incredible assets on display in a diamante encrusted taupe dress
Supporting a good cause: Coleen Nolan and her husband Ray Fensome shared a cuddle for the camera on Saturday night
