Johnny Depp's daughter Lily-Rose reveals she was thrilled to be 'a little more sexy' for CR magazine

'I turned 18, so I was ready to up the ante': Johnny Depp's daughter Lily-Rose reveals she was thrilled to be 'a little more sexy' for CR magazine

Lily-Rose Depp is already a vet in the modeling world with a contract for Chanel and a Vogue cover.
But now that the daughter of actor Johnny Depp and singer Vanessa Paradis has turned 18-years-old, she has decided to push her boundaries.
And that is why the blonde beauty is appearing topless for CR magazine, she explained, because she gets to be 'a little more sexy.'

'I love working with Carine,' the star said of the fashion magazine editor Carine Roitfeld, 62. 'She actually styled the first shoot that I did for Chanel when I was 15.
Lily-Rose added: 'This time I got to show a little more skin and be a little more sexy. I had just turned 18, so I was ready to up the ante.'
The Tusk actress went bra free for the cover and added a plaid shirt, which was unbuttoned, and a cigarette in her mouth.

Her hair was worn in a high braid that was tight.
In another shot the Paris-born star - who speaks both French and English - had on no shirt, wrapping her arms around her chest to preserve her modesty.
She made the most of a pair of cut-off jeans that were unbuttoned and added short boots.

She was interviewed by Natalie Portman, who she worked with on Rebecca Zlotowski’s Planetarium, set in 1930s France.
The CR shoot was a highlight for the teen as she said she loved working with the photographer: 'Steven Klein had shot these amazing photographs of my mom when she was my age. We shot in front of a mirror with the pictures taped to it. I have a similar grungy look.'

It hasn't been all easy growing up with famous parents as some people have accused Lily-Rose of coasting on their coattails.
'A lot of people think I’m only acting because of my dad, that I have not had to work as hard to be seen or recognized in the industry, so I think because of that it makes me want to work twice as hard to prove to everyone that I’m not just doing this because it’s easy to do. I’m not just doing it because it runs in the family.'
As far as how she feels about growing up in both Paris and Hollywood, Depp said it has allowed her an interesting perspective.

'There’s something more personable in Europe than there is here,' she began.
'In the States, there’s more of a façade that I see people putting on. For me, the French culture is richer. It’s also easy to prefer Europe give the present state of things. I would have been nicer to America a year ago. The way politics is going, it’s hard for me to sit down and point out all the things that I love about America.'
Depp began her acting career with a cameo role in Tusk alongside her friend Harley Quinn Smith, her father, and the film's director Kevin Smith.
Then her partnership with Chanel began in 2015. She started modeling for the eyewear line then went on to become the face of fragrance No°5 L'Eau.
In 2016 she dropped out of school to focus on her career.
She then reprised her Tusk role in Yoga Hosers, a spin-off that focuses on her and Harley Quinn Smith's characters. Next came the film The Dancer.
The 11th edition of CR has covers not just with Depp but also Lara Stone, shot by Steven Klein, and Alek Wek and Cara Taylor, shot by Mario Sorrenti.
In tandem, never before seen image of Prince, shot by Steven Klein, graces the cover of CR Men’s Issue 5.
Also in the issue is Justin Theroux, Rami Malek, Jasmine Sanders and Bonner Bolton.

Paris Jackson, 18, pays tribute to her father Michael as she poses on the cover of CR Fashion Book

'99% of my inspiration comes from him, because he has always been my world': Paris Jackson, 18, pays tribute to her father Michael as she poses on the cover of CR Fashion Book

  • Paris is one of several famous faces to have been given their own cover of the magazine's tenth issue
  • Inside the publication, she talks about her famous father, revealing she won't follow in his career footsteps, modeling, acting, and her social activism
  • For this issue, Carine Roitfeld's high-fashion magazine has a Parisian theme
  • Gigi Hadid, Bella Hadid, Karlie Kloss, Lara Stone, and Carine herself are also on covers of the issue
Paris Jackson has scored her very first fashion magazine cover, and she shares the honor with some of the biggest names in the business.
The 18-year-old appears on the front of Issue 10 of Carine's Roitfeld's CR Fashion Book — one of several high-fashion covers that also star Gigi Hadid, Bella Hadid, Karlie Kloss and Lara Stone.
Inside, the A-list offspring opens up about her famous dad, her politics, and her career aspirations — which don't involve following in Michael's footsteps.
Big gig: Paris Jackson covers one edition of the latest issue of CR Fashion Book

In her stunning cover image, shot by Mario Sorrenti, Paris poses in a ruffled cerulean Gucci dress that brings out her bright blue eyes.
She wears red lipstick and a matching shade on her talon-like nails, and the tattoos that snake up her arm are on full display.
Speaking to the magazine, Paris says that she's pursuing modeling right now and hopes to try her hand at acting in a few years — but she doesn't expect to take up a music career like her dad.
That isn't to say she hasn't inherited his talent, but she prefers to keep that side of herself private.

'I write music for myself,' she said, adding that she's in a 'kind of like folk' band with her boyfriend that's a cross between Johnny Cash and the Lumineers. 'I use it as a way to get stuff out. It's not something I see myself following career-wise. There are so many amazing artists in my family. If I were to do it as a career, it would change how I feel about music and I don’t want that to happen.'
She even shared a sample lyric with the magazine, which her interviewer, movie giant Lee Daniels, commented was pretty dark: 'Your ice cold words like bony fingers around my neck like a skeleton.'
'Hey, my dad didn’t raise me listening to the Top 40,' Paris said. She spent time remembering her dad, too, calling him 'the strongest person I know'.
'[He] tried to do everything with as much love and kindness as possible,' she said. 'All of my inspiration, I would say 99 percent of my inspiration, comes from him, because he has always been my world. He is my roots.'
She said she likes to play music but doesn't plan to make a career out of it

It seems that the Heal the World singer also gave her a sense of social justice. Paris spoke about being 'very against animal cruelty' and not liking to own fur — though she doesn't hate others who do — and getting a tattoo designed by a Sioux tribe activist on her ankle in support of Standing Rock.
'I think right now a lot of people are really, really angry,' she said, sharing her thoughts on the political climate in general. 'And there are two ways that things can go: it can go really bad, or we'll see that the "man," the government, is not doing what it's supposed to do, and we'll take it in our own hands. Millennials, people my age, we're going to run the country in the next few years. We can make this country what we want it to be.
'I'm hoping that this year my generation will get to a point where we will rise up, not in a violent way, but start pushing for more liberalism. This happened with same-sex marriage. We pushed so hard for equality and it happened.'

Also covering another version of the issue is newcomer Halima Aden, who walked in Kanye West's Yeezy Season 5 show. She recently signed with IMG and wears a hijab in all of her shots.
'Never thought I would see the day that a woman dressed like me would graze the cover of a fashion magazine,' she wrote on Instagram, accompanying a post with her cover. 'Thank you SO much @carineroitfeld and my new @crfashionbook family for giving me the opportunity to feel represented in the most beautiful way.'
Other editions are fronted Gigi and Bella Hadid, who were also shot by photographer Mario Sorrenti.
Carine has made clear she's a big fan of the Hadid sisters, and has spotlighted them in her magazine on several occasions. In fact, Gigi's Issue 10 cover is her third, and the sisters are the only models to have covered multiple issues.
Star-studded! The covers, which were shot in Paris, also include an image of Karlie Kloss
Model Lara Stone, in an Azzedine Alaï top and sparkly De Grisogono earrings, also has her own cover

In fact, Gigi, 21, credits Carine for helping to make her career what it is, calling the editor her 'unequivocal mentor' and saying that her first CR Fashion Book cover 'changed my life'.
Carine has spoken about first seeing something special in Gigi, telling The Daily Fornt Row: 'Gigi is a beautiful person on the outside and the inside too. She is a warm and kind-hearted soul. When Stephen Gan introduced her to me, we jointly sent her to see Bruce Weber, we knew she was a star about to be born.'
This time around, Gigi poses in a sheer black turtleneck over a balconette bra and underwear. Her hair is up, showing off dangling cross earrings.
'Four years strong with my @crfashionbook family,' she wrote on Instagram. 'Forever grateful to you @carineroitfeld.'

Her younger sister Bella, 22, who was also shot by Mario Sorrenti, shared how thrilled she was on Instagram as well. Wearing a black Louis Vuitton number that spotlights plenty of underboob, the star is accessorized with gold jewelry and wears her hair in a high pony, styled by Akki Shirakawa.
In addition to Carine's own cover — in which the editor is pictured in Paris, facing away from the camera — supermodel Karlie Kloss also graces her own issue.
The 24-year-old was shot by Rory van Millingen and wears a black skirt suit and '80s mules. Her hair is dark for the occasion, styled in a short, shaggy cut.
Models Stella Lucia, Liu Wen, Amina Blue, and Jordan Barrett also appear within the issues pages, as does photography by Karl Lagerfeld. A separate men's issue includes Gucci Mane, The Crown's Matt Smith, actor Michael Shannon, and the UFC's Stephen 'Wonderboy' Thompson.

Rihanna grabs her chest as she transforms into saucy Marie Antoinette for Terry Richardson cover shoot

All hail Queen Rihanna! Singer grabs her chest as she transforms into saucy Marie Antoinette for Terry Richardson cover shoot

She's certainly considered a queen in the worlds of music and fashion.
And now Rihanna has been transformed into former Queen of France and Navarre Marie Antionette.
However the 28-year-old's version, shot by Terry Richardson for the cover of CR Fashion Book, was an extremely racy one.

In one raunchy shot, Rihanna - who has been making waves thanks to her relationship with Drake - could be seen holding one of her breasts while smouldering into the camera.
The singer was wearing a corset underneath a flared powder pink jacket, revealing a hint of her legs underneath.
Rihanna had her dark hair styled in waves and piled into an updo, and she wore smoky eye make-up and cherry red lipstick.
The star's eye-popping look was finished off with dazzling diamond and ruby jewellery.

A second saucy photo, Rihanna could be seen puffing smoke from a cigarillo.
With her hair and make-up styled the same way, the Work hit-maker wore a boned pink satin top with cream lace trim.
Rihanna also sported a daring red lace-up hoop skirt, which barely covered her gorgeous curves.
The magazine's editor Carine Roitfeld discussed the decision to transform the bombshell into a modern-day version of the extravagant wife of Louis XVI of France, who was 37 when she was executed in 1793.

'In this issue, I wanted to capture that sense of attraction and repulsion: the fantasy of glamour but also the poison and prison of femininity and society,' Carine said.
'The magazine is crafted around key elements of her [Marie Antoinette's] life—her exuberant sense of fashion, her elaborate hairdos, her intense sexuality—almost like a modern biography through fashion imagery.
'And on the cover is Rihanna, who shares with Marie Antoinette an air of royalty that I, and the world it seems, find intoxicating.'
