Gisele Bundchen proudly commands the stage in shimmery low-cut gown at Opening Ceremony for Summer Olympics in Rio

Here comes the Girl From Ipanema! Leggy Gisele Bundchen proudly commands the stage in shimmery low-cut gown at Opening Ceremony for Summer Olympics in Rio

Gisele Bundchen commanded the runway with her strong and golden presence.
The supermodel dropped jaws as she sauntered solo in the spotlight during the Opening Ceremony for the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil on Friday.
Gisele was a shimmery sight in a deep-cut metallic gold sequin gown that fanned out behind her while strutting down the stage at Maracana Stadium.
Siren song: Gisele Bundchen kicked off the Opening Ceremony at the Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro to the tune of The Girl from Ipanema performed by Daniel Jobim

The brunette beauty, who comes from the land of Brazil, walked down the 'runway' to The Girl from Ipanema performed on the piano by Daniel Jobim.
Gisele first emerged from the dark as a silhouette framed in the light of the big screen behind her.
The sequins of her gown fairly glistened as the spotlight descended, throwing her figure into shadow across the stage.
Long-legged lovely: The 36-year-old supermodel flashed a wide smile and those gorgeous long legs as she walked the 'runway'

It's easy to say that Gisele, who appeared after a flurry of other performers, stole this show hands down.
Gisele's wrap-around gown by Brazilian designer Alexandre Herchcovitch clung to her body from the tight long sleeves to the plunging decolletage, and the long train swept the ground as she stepped forward in delicately strapped, golden heels.
The bossa nova strains of Daniel Jobim's piano propelled Gisele further and further forward.

The brunette stunner wore her long waist-length hair parted center and loose, letting it cascade naturally down her back and over one shoulder.
Gisele is known for speaking her mind, and she didn't hold back when planning her ensemble with the dress designer himself.
'Gisele knows exactly what looks good on her and what doesn’t, which makes the job much more objective and accurate,' designer Herchcovitch told Vogue.

'Part of my creative process and development is to listen and adjust creations so she is satisfied.'
Although she retired from the runway last year to focus on her family and other projects, Gisele made this - the Opening Ceremony in her Brazil - her stunning return.

Gigi Hadid, Lily Aldridge, and Joan Smalls strip down to nothing but their heels to pose in Stuart Weitzman campaign

Eyes on the shoes, gents! Gigi Hadid, Lily Aldridge, and Joan Smalls strip down to nothing but their heels to pose in a VERY provocative Stuart Weitzman campaign

  • Gigi, 20, Lily, 30, and Joan, 27, pose skin-to-skin in the provocative ad
  • Gigi said that with such great shoes and a great team to shoot with, nothing else - even clothes - were needed
  • The three supermodels also appeared in this year's Victoria's Secret Fashion Show
Clearly, stripping down to her skivvies for the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show was not nearly naked enough for rising supermodel Gigi Hadid.
Outdoing herself, the 20-year-old wore nothing but a pair of strappy sandals for shoe designer Stuart Weitzman's new campaign, posing skin-to-skin with her fellow Fashion Show stars Lily Aldridge, 30, and Joan Smalls, 27.
'So excited to be a part of the @StuartWeitzman SS16 campaign,' she wrote on Instagram today, accompanying the stunning black-and-white image. 'Best shoes, best team, best day - clearly NOTHING else is needed.'

The striking shot, which was taken by famed fashion photographer Mario Testino, features Gigi and Joan standing face-to-face - and stomach-to-stomach - with Gigi's hand resting on Joan's shoulder and strategically covering both of their chests.
Lily leans up against Gigi's back, as Joan's arm drapes around her waist. The trio wear sexy, smoldering expressions as they stare at the camera.
And then, of course, there are their shoes. Each of the women is wearing an identical pair of the designer's appropriately named 'Nearlynude' heels, which retail for $398. The style features a chunkier version of the brand's beloved Nudist sandal.

'These Shoes were made for Walking...Naked [sic]', Joan wrote on Instagram with her own upload of the picture.
All three models were named as the new faces of Weitman's 'In Our Shoes' campaign, which the designer revealed with a much more clothed picture in which Lily wears a skimpy white bikini top.
The women were smart choices, as each has worn Weitzman's shoes in the past. Just last month, Gigi was snapped leaving a New York City hotel in the designer's $798 Lowland over-the-knee boots.

Gigi, Joan, and Lily join an impressive group of leggy supermodels who've lent their feet - and faces - to Stuart Weitzman.
They replace Gisele Bündchen, 35, who posed in her own nearly-naked photoshoots until earlier this year, often modeling the designer's thigh-high boots.
And before Gisele was Kate Moss, 41, who was the face of the brand from 2012 to early 2014. Like the others, Kate never wore much clothing in the ad, with the intention that the focus should be on her shoes.
