Myleene Klass at war with ex-husband over £1.8m home as he demands all the money from the sale

Myleene Klass is embroiled in a bitter legal battle with her estranged husband as they hammer out the final details of their divorce.

It is understood that businessman Graham Quinn, who provides security for pop stars including JLS and Bruce Springsteen, is demanding the entire proceeds from the sale of their five-bedroom detached property as part of the settlement.

Classically trained musician and TV presenter Miss Klass, 35, is believed to have bought the house in Cuffley, Hertfordshire, in her own name for £1.2 million in December 2009.

Neighbours in the area include England and Tottenham Hotspur striker Jermain Defoe and Sir Terry Leahy, the former chief executive of Tesco.

The house was put on the market with an asking price of £2.5 million just weeks after the couple split in April last year. It was sold in January for £1.8 million.

Since then Miss Klass and her daughters – five-year-old Ava Bailey and two-year-old Hero Harper – have been renting an £8,000-a-month house in Highgate, North London.

Miss Klass, who shot to fame as part of the pop group Hear’Say, is said to have offered Irish-born Mr Quinn, 39, half the proceeds from the sale of the house as a goodwill gesture, but he is demanding the entire sum.

She has built up an estimated personal fortune of £11 million from her television appearances and promotional deals.

 A source said last night: ‘Graham is going after her money.

‘He is not going to accept that they both walk away with what they walked into the marriage, and that’s that. It’s a lot of money.’

Miss Klass and Mr Quinn were together for 11 years, but were married for only six months before he walked out.

His lawyer said: ‘My client has no comment to make about matters relating to his private life.’

And a spokesman for Miss Klass declined to comment.

In an interview with The Mail on  Sunday last October, the singer said  that going through the marriage breakdown was as painful as being shot through the heart.

‘When it first happened and I was in the middle of the storm I was just so very, very hurt,’ she said.

‘I felt that I would sooner have taken a bullet. Actually, at the beginning, every morning when I woke up,  I thought that I had taken a bullet to my heart.’

With the return of The Voice, viewers will be looking forward to seeing undiscovered talent.

However, some could be forgiven for thinking some of the contestants are rather familiar.

Former '90s singers Kavana and Cleo Higgins from Cleopatra are among the 'has-been' pop stars trying their luck for a second chance of chart fame.

Hear'say's Danny Foster, who found fame on reality show Popstars in 2001, is also an auditionee, as well as soul singer Nate James, who was nominated for two MOBO Awards in 2005.

The foursome's inclusion on the show has prompted questions whether former pop stars should be allowed to audition.

Anthony Kavana, 35, released two albums in the late '90s and had a No.8 single with I Can Make You Feel Good.

Earlier this month, he tweeted he had been on the show, but was 'gutted' after failing to progress past the blind audition.

He wrote: 'Few things, I need to get off my chest...you'll see me on TV soon. On The Voice, BBC One. I didn't get through, but I gave it a good go.'

Since his pop career failed to make the impact he hoped, he has been songwriting and acting and was a runner-up in TV talent show Grease Is The Word in 2007.

However, Kavana isn't wasting too much time moping after losing out on The Voice, he's landed the lead role in The Sword And The Dope at London's Courtyard Theatre.

Hear'Say singer Danny, 33, found fame on ITV talent show Popstars in 2001 when he was selected to be in the group alongside Kym Lomas, Myleene Klass, Noel Sullivan and Suzanne Shaw.

After the group disbanded in 2002 after 18 months together, Danny has been seen in reality shows The Games and Trust Me - I'm A Beauty Therapist.

Meanwhile, Cleo, 30, is performing without her sisters and Cleopatra bandmates Yonah and Zainam.

Critics choice: Soul singer Nate James failed to make a big impact on the charts in the mid Noughties

The three Mancunians burst onto the pop scene in 1998 with their debut single Cleopatra's Theme.

They enjoyed four top five UK singles and starred in two series of their own sitcom Cleopatra Comin' Atcha and Cleopara In The House on CITV.

Meanwhile, Nate, 33, is a more recent name, having arrived on the music scene in 2005 with his debut album Set The Tone.

Despite critical acclaim and award wins, his singles and albums failed to make much of an impact on the charts.

It was the name of Hear'Say's first single, and Myleene Klass certainly looked pure and simple in a low-cut white dress Monday morning on ITV1's Lorraine.

The Heart FM presenter was on the couch speaking to Kate Garraway - covering for Lorraine Kelly - about her role as a Save The Children ambassador for the charity's No Child Born to Die campaign.

But after discussing the trip to her Filipino homeland, Myleene made it clear there was no chance she'd get the Popstars-winning band back together, unlike a number of her other musical contemporaries.

Mentioning The Big Reunion - the TV series that sees the Honeyz, Liberty X, 5ive, B*Witched, Atomic Kitten and 911 reform ahead of a special arena tour - Kate asked if Hear'Say would make a comeback.

Laughing at the thought, Myleene replied: 'I just can't imagine it - sing Pure And Simple on loop? It was nice and a great time in our lives but to relive it wouldn't be the same.'

'I'm a bit too old to jump around in Lycra now!' She continued, 'it was a good time in that era.'

But rather than talk about her pop background, the mother-of-two was there to discuss the cruel reality of the present, concerning the millions of children dying from preventable diseases.

'Just a few hours on the plane you might as well be on another planet,' Myleene said about her trip to the Philippines capital Manila, where she was shocked to find the harsh environment mothers and children are forced to live in.

Highlighting the problems with using formula over breast milk, the 34-year old said, 'It cost them twice their rent to feed one child and they can't feed the rest so they have to water it down because they can't afford it.'

'On top of that the water's filthy and they can't sterilise the bottles.'

Myleene's mother - who is a nurse - moved to England before she was born, and now the classical musician sees the irony of sending medical personnel back.

She said, '[we need to] educate people within the community, get their own midwives and godmothers out there speaking to the women' to encourage new mothers to breast feed within the first hour after giving birth to help protect them from infection.
