Iwan Thomas is the first contestant to leave Strictly Come Dancing 2015 after losing to Jamelia in the dance-off

Former sprinter Iwan Thomas is the first contestant to leave Strictly Come Dancing 2015 after losing to Jamelia in the dance-off

He didn't fare well on Saturday night's show, landing bottom of the leaderboard.
And it seems that the public weren't impressed with Iwan Thomas's performance either, after he was given the boot from Strictly Come Dancing on Sunday night's results show.
The 41-year-old ended up in the dance-off with TV presenter Jamelia after the pair received the lowest scores from the judges, which were combined with the public votes.

The former sprinter repeated his Cha-Cha with professional dancer Ola Jordan while Jamelia also performed the up-tempo dance with her partner Tristan MacManus.
Before the dance-off, he told the judges he would give it 'everything he's got' in the dance-off.
He declared: 'I'm gutted, I've said it all along, I'm obviously not a naturally talented dancer but I work hard and I'm going to give it everything in the dance-off.'
But Iwan's enthusiasm wasn't enough to keep the Olympic medalist in the competition, with all of the judges voting to save the Loose Women panellist instead.

And before Jamelia had to dance to save her place in the competition, she told Tess that she didn't want to go home, saying: 'I just have to give it everything I've got. I've loved every second of my experience and I'm not ready to go yet.'

His Cha Cha to Sexy And I Know It with professional dancer Ola failed to set the judges worlds alight, with Craig Revel Horwood giving the couple just 2 points.
After struggling with his moves in rehearsals, he was told he came onto the dancefloor with 'too much aggression' for the fun-loving style of dance.
Head judge Len Goodman told him: 'You came out tonight, you said "right I’m going to show them", you came out with so much aggression and so much attack that you lost your finesse.'
Bruno Tonioli agreed, telling Iwan: 'You went to the Neanderthal approach to the Cha Cha and you smashed it to the point of extinction. Dances have to exude a certain character. That was murder.'

Craig didn't mince his words either, saying: 'I just say [that's] 21 and a half hours training wasted sadly. It was stompy, unrhythmic, it didn’t work.'
Former ballet Darcy Bussell was, of course, much more enthusiastic, telling him it looked like he has fun on stage and that's what's important.
She said: 'It is so important that you had fun on this dancefloor and I hope you did.
'Even with the problems you had with the rhythm, you had your beautiful lady there and you were there for her.'
Peter Andre remains at the top of the leaderboard with 15 points, followed by Jay McGuiness and and Helen George with 14 points each.

Before the dance Peter said: 'There's no turning around now and it's going to be fantastic... Janette is a little powerhouse... I'm a bit of perfectionist.. I need it to go right.'
The energetic and sexy routine was met with an astonishing reaction with Tess saying: 'That was hot, you raised the roof in the studio.'

Bruno agreed, saying: 'Fantastic I love the perfromance level', while Craig said: 'That was a show stopper but you've got to get that hip action. It was sharp it was clean you rocked it darling.'
Darcy weighed in: 'Peter you were overflowing with attitude.. You rocked it.'
After the judges had offered their high praises, an overwhelmed Peter said: 'Absolutely speechless what could you ask for.'
The talented singer was given an eye-watering 30 points from the judges, sweeping him straight to the top of the leaderboard.

Tess poked fun at boxer Anthony Ogogo's Friday night wardrobe malfunction: '[Last night's] show was so tightly packed it was bursting at the seams - as in fact were Anthony Ogogo's trousers.'

Jay sang the first line of The Four Tops' classic I'll Be There as she embarked on a sexy dance, before saying at the end: 'That was really fun - the best fun I've ever had.'
His nerves were unfounded as he was met with glowing reviews from the scrutinising judges, with Len Goodman saying: 'Jay McGuinness, You're like a glass of Guinness- full bodied with a bit of froth on top... Don't you go anywhere. You're wanted.'
Bruno Tonioli added: 'Oh, Jay. I'm glad you came.. You have the potential to be a great hit on the dance floor' with his final score landing on 27

Bruno was particularly scathing as he told the star: 'You were stumbling and handing over to Brendan... your feet were all over the place... I'm sure you'll do better. There's always tomorrow.'
Craig Revel Horwood: The flow of steps were stilted... Balance issues... Brendan covered the whole dance very well.' while Len added: 'You've got to get that bum working... [Next week] shake it and bake it' before she was awarded a humble 20 points from the judges.

Acid-tongued Craig slammed the dance saying: 'That would qualify for the worlds dad dancing competition... Disjointed and disconnected.'
However Darcy was a fan, saying: 'It was strangely fabulous... I knew I was going to love you because you put everything into it... You have to watch those long legs because it shows a lack of technique but I loved it' - despite the reviews, Jeremy was feted with a humble 20 points.
Len: 'Little bit out of control.. but what I love you came out and went for it. I read in the papers you're the underdog... Well this underdog has got a bit of bite.'

The pair danced to The Beatles' Roll Over Beethoven -in a nod to the TV personality's affiliation with classical music- and Katie looked sensational in an incredible sequinned flapper number.
Katie's debut was highly praised by the judges with Bruno harking: 'Kate is a muse - I tell you one thing. I couldn't take my eyes off you, you have a radiant stage presense. She has all the ability and great legs.'
Craig was even more complimentary saying: 'Very very clean and the most sophisticated and stylish jive we've ever had on the programme' and the couple were feted with a stunning 26.

The self-confessed 'perfectionist' revealed: 'As an athlete I know what it's like to push your body to the limit... I just hope I can step up on Saturday night.'
Iwan's performance was heavily criticised as it seems his athletic build let him down with Len saying: 'You've got the ready you've got the steady but it didn't really go... It wasn't that brilliant but you've got next week' before the duo were awarded just 17  points.
