Iwan Thomas is the first contestant to leave Strictly Come Dancing 2015 after losing to Jamelia in the dance-off

Former sprinter Iwan Thomas is the first contestant to leave Strictly Come Dancing 2015 after losing to Jamelia in the dance-off

He didn't fare well on Saturday night's show, landing bottom of the leaderboard.
And it seems that the public weren't impressed with Iwan Thomas's performance either, after he was given the boot from Strictly Come Dancing on Sunday night's results show.
The 41-year-old ended up in the dance-off with TV presenter Jamelia after the pair received the lowest scores from the judges, which were combined with the public votes.

The former sprinter repeated his Cha-Cha with professional dancer Ola Jordan while Jamelia also performed the up-tempo dance with her partner Tristan MacManus.
Before the dance-off, he told the judges he would give it 'everything he's got' in the dance-off.
He declared: 'I'm gutted, I've said it all along, I'm obviously not a naturally talented dancer but I work hard and I'm going to give it everything in the dance-off.'
But Iwan's enthusiasm wasn't enough to keep the Olympic medalist in the competition, with all of the judges voting to save the Loose Women panellist instead.

His Cha Cha to Sexy And I Know It with professional dancer Ola failed to set the judges worlds alight, with Craig Revel Horwood giving the couple just 2 points.
After struggling with his moves in rehearsals, he was told he came onto the dancefloor with 'too much aggression' for the fun-loving style of dance.
Head judge Len Goodman told him: 'You came out tonight, you said "right I’m going to show them", you came out with so much aggression and so much attack that you lost your finesse.'
Bruno Tonioli agreed, telling Iwan: 'You went to the Neanderthal approach to the Cha Cha and you smashed it to the point of extinction. Dances have to exude a certain character. That was murder.'

Craig didn't mince his words either, saying: 'I just say [that's] 21 and a half hours training wasted sadly. It was stompy, unrhythmic, it didn’t work.'
Former ballet Darcy Bussell was, of course, much more enthusiastic, telling him it looked like he has fun on stage and that's what's important.
She said: 'It is so important that you had fun on this dancefloor and I hope you did.
'Even with the problems you had with the rhythm, you had your beautiful lady there and you were there for her.'
Peter Andre remains at the top of the leaderboard with 15 points, followed by Jay McGuiness and and Helen George with 14 points each.
