She has made a name for herself as masked crimefighter Black Canary on hit show Arrow.

And Katie Cassidy proved she has a figure worthy of a superheroine as she hit the beach in Miami this week.

The actress, 28, looked sensational as she took a dip in the ocean to cool off from Florida's sweltering temperatures.

Katie flaunted her super-toned body in a white snakeskin print bikini, making the most of her impressive six pack and lithe legs.

With her hair wet and slicked back as she emerged from the surf, Katie certainly turned heads along the coast of the party town.

Adding a stylish flair to her beach look, she sported a pair of green mirrored ray bans to complete her vacation vibe.

The actress headed to Miami on Friday to enjoy some well deserved relaxation.

She took to Instagram to share her trip with fans, writing: 'Miami R&R.'

The beauty then shared a snap of her beach essentials, including her trusty aviator shades and a copy of W fashion magazine.

She captioned the snap on Instagram: 'Beach bag. What's in yours?'

And she certainly deserves to take it easy for a while after revealing she wakes up at 5am to work out with a trainer to ensure her body is in tip-top shape for her role on the comic book series.

She told Comicbook.com: 'She told I wake up at 5am and go to the gym and work with my trainer as I go to work.

'It has taken a lot out of me but every single moment has been worth it because I live for it.'

Katie Cassidy had the sun and spotlight on her when she roamed the beaches of Miami on Saturday.

The Arrow star stood out in a bright neon bikini during a brisk run back to shore and had a mini Baywatch moment showing off her enviable figure in a revealing swimsuit while running towards her belongings.

The 28-year-old actress had some fun in the sun and took a break from filming her hit CW show relaxing with a male friend.

Katie showcased her thin torso and long legs in a fluorescent bikini top and black bottoms.

The girlfriend of producer Dana Brunetti covered her eyes with a pair of color coordinated Ray Ban Wayfarer sunglasses.

During her beach day, she took to her Instagram account to share her outing with fans and followers.

'Chilled out #Miami #R&R,' she captioned a photo of herself lounging on a blue beach towel with her impressive abs on full display while reading her magazines.

'Happiness. #R&R #Miami,' Katie also commented on a snap of her beach belongings which included a copy of the latest Vogue and Vanity Fair issues with a bottle of lotion and her cell phone.

The daughter of former TV heartthrob David Cassidy has been starring in Arrow since 2012 playing Laurel Lance.

And in a recent interview with Design & Trend, Katie revealed some unique things about herself that fans may not have known before.

When asked about the essentials she always carries in her handbag, Katie shared that she can't go without her favorite simple things. 

'Clinique Chubby sticks, gum, my Too Faced compact and hand sanitizer,' she answered.

Also, If she could change one thing about herself, she said she has one quality she believes she would do better without.

'I'm really stubborn. I believe that it has gotten me to where I am today professionally, but sometimes I wish I wasn't so hard-headed. It can be a good quality when it comes to work, but not necessarily in my personal life.'

FIRST PIC: Melissa Benoist reveals her Supergirl costume as the DC character prepares to get her own TV series

These are the first images of Melissa Benoist donning the iconic costume of Supergirl.

The 26-year-old is set to play Kara Zor-El in the new CBS series premiering later this year.

Wearing the famous knee high red boots, red cape, yellow belt. blue torso and red skirt, the outfit is essentially the female version of her cousin Superman's - with the skirt replacing his even more famous red exo-underpants.

The muted colors appear to be a nod to Henry Cavill's costume in Man Of Steel, avoiding the brighter hues of some of the Kryptonians' earlier incarnations.

Also toned down is the cut of the costume - her much bustier comicbook counterpart has been known to rock an even shorter skirt and an exposed midriff - while this Supergirl has also opted for only the barest hint of make-up.

On Friday the American actress posted an Instagram snap of her proudly baring the 'S' (that isn't really an 'S') writing: 'THIS. I still can't believe I am wearing the House of El coat of arms. #supergirl #wbdctv'.

Supergirls: Earlier this week Benoist shared a picture with Helen Slater - the original Supergirl from the 1984 film - who is also cast in the series in an as yet unknown role

Earlier this week, Benoist also posted a picture of Helen Slater, who played the original Supergirl in the 1984 film version, proclaiming: 'Supergirls then and now....@HelenSlaterNYC...is this real life?! So crazy/amazing!!'

Slater has actually been cast in the new TV series, as has Dean Cain who played Clark Kent in the 90s TV series Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman, though their roles have yet to be confirmed.

Supergirl is the latest in the DC lineup to be given her own TV series following the Green Arrow, The Flash and Batman prequel Gotham.

Backup: DC's The Flash and Arrow exist in the same universe so crossovers are possible - if their respective networks agree to it

Cousin: Melissa's costume closely matches Henry Cavil's from Man Of Steel, and not so much the silky gloss affair worn by Dean Cain, who also stars in the new Supergirl

Executive producer Greg Berlanti, who also writes and producer Arrow and The Flash, has previously indicated that all three are based in the same universe and may cross over to each others shows; however since Supergirl is on a different network to her DC counterparts, this has been put on the long finger.

The plot centers around 24-year-old Kara Zor-El who was taken in by a foster family after being sent away from her home planet of Krypton. She has kept her powers hidden under their guidance, but is forced to reveal them during a disaster. 

The show will also star Calista Flockheart as Kara's boss; Mechad Brooks as Jimmy Olsen, photographer and love interest of Kara; and Laura Benanti as Alura Zor-El, Kara's birth mother.

David Harewood meanwhile plays Hank Henshaw, a supervillain in the comic, but a government agent chasing Kara in the show.

Willa Holland may not be a familiar name but her face is instantly recognisable from a series of successful TV shows.

The American actress appeared in cult show The O.C, as devious Kaitlin Cooper, the little sister of Marissa, which was played by Mischa Barton.

After that she had a role as Agnes Andrews on Gossip Girl, before moving into a career as a model.

Now, the 21-year-old is back on TV screens and is taking aim at fame as Thea Queen in the new superhero series, Arrow.

The rising star is going from strength to strength and showed just how much she had grown up as she featured in a glossy spread for Jezebel magazine.

During her photoshoot she told the magazine exactly why she chose to take on the role of Thea Queen in Arrow.

She said: 'The fact it was based on a DC Comics book, and the fact that I would get to play a superhero.

'I don't want to spoil anything... but every episode gets more and more awesome.'

Willa stars opposite Stephen Amell who plays the lead role in the programme as billionaire playboy Oliver Queen.

After being marooned for five years on a remote island, Oliver Queen returns home with a mysterious agenda and a lethal set of new skills that he uses in a war on crime.

He is determined to right the wrongs his father committed while amassing his fortune and has sworn to bring justice to the rich and powerful who have corrupted his city. 

The talent off screen is just as impressive as its leading stars with executive producers Greg Berlanti (Brothers and Sisters), Marc Guggenheim (Green Lantern), Andrew Kreisberg (Fringe) and David Nutter (Smallville). 

Willa plays the younger supportive sister of Oliver and although she does not have to wear a superhero costume, she still wanted to be in good shape.

She told the magazine: 'Now I do Pilates and just try to keep my body in motion-walking around doesn't really do enough, so I have to do something else.'

Arrow has received mostly good reviews from the comic world with theouthousers.com writing: 'Arrow continues to provide generous helpings of action, melodrama and geekiness.'

However, the Guardian disagreed and said: 'Arrow's tale doesn't quite hit that target, on the evidence of this first episode, and the show's central concept struggles to justify the brooding tone.'

Arrow is shown in the UK on Sky1, Mondays at 8pm.
