Supertrio! Ben Affleck and Henry Cavill flank Gal Gadot in sexy Wonder Woman garb for Batman V Superman themed cover

They are portraying three of the most famous superheros of all-time.
And Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill and Gal Gadot looked good as they completed The World's Finest Trinity.
The trio of stars don their full superhero regalia from Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice on the front of Entertainment Weekly's July 10-17 issue.

Though Affleck and Cavill are the marquee names involved in this highly-anticipated superhero flick, it is Gadot that will surely receive the most attention from the cover.
The 30-year-old actress scintillated in her Wonder Woman metallic figure-hugging bustier featuring dark bronze and muted shades of red and blue.
The Fast & Furious 6 actress finished off the look with plenty more dark bronze as she wore a thigh high boots, headband, wrist wraps and a bad around her left bicep all in the metallic shade.

Gadot wore her raven-coloured locks voluminous into waves as she had natural, complimentary make-up on her face topped off with a swipe of shiny pink lip.
Affleck, 42, wore Batman's signature black suit which showed off his buff physique as he will portray the Caped Crusader for the first time.
The 32-year-old Cavill looked as hunky as ever in Superman's clinging blue and red costume.
In early June the official synopsis of Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice was released by the studio as it showcases a much clearer picture of the direction the movie will be going in.

It begins: 'Fearing the actions of a god-like Super Hero left unchecked, Gotham City’s own formidable, forceful vigilante takes on Metropolis’s most revered, modern-day savior, while the world wrestles with what sort of hero it really needs.'
The release concludes with one of the more eye-opening reveals for the highly-secretive project as it says: 'And with Batman and Superman at war with one another, a new threat quickly arises, putting mankind in greater danger than it’s ever known before.'
It remains unknown what this 'new threat' is but as Jesse Eisenberg will be playing Lex Luthor in the film, no doubt he will be at least one antagonizing force as the character is Superman's arch nemesis.

Director of the film, Zack Snyder has taken to social media account several times the past few months to give sneak peaks into the movie including costumes and posters.
Back in April the 49-year-old filmmaker tweeted a photo that showed a full-length image of the new Batsuit shortly after he introduced the IMAX version of the movie trailer.
Also in April, he posted two images of promotional posters for the superhero flick: one featuring Batman with a scratched up Superman logo super-imposed over his face and the other was the complete opposite.
The movie features an all-star cat in addition to Ben, Gal, Henry and Jesse including: Jason Momoa, Amy Adams, Jenna Malone, Diane Lane, Laurence Fishburne and Jeremy Irons.
Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice is set for release on 25 March 2016.

Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice trailer

'Tell me, do you bleed?' Warner Bros. is forced to release official Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice trailer early after bootleg version leaked online

Even twice the superhero strength was not enough to combat super fan excitement.
Late Friday, Warner Bros. was forced to go on the offensive and release the trailer for the highly anticipated Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice after a bootleg version hit the internet.
The first proper look at the film was supposed to be unveiled amid plenty of fanfare at select IMAX theatres on Monday.

However late Thursday night, a shaky video taken using a cell phone or handheld camera was posted online showing a screening of the trailer with Portuguese subtitles.
It came hours after the film's director Zack Snyder posted a high quality 20 second video clip and tweeted details of how fans could access the special full trailer screenings on April 20.
While the studio was able to have the leaked version quickly pulled from YouTube, the damage was done and it was shared by thousands of fans across various internet sites.

The official trailer was identical to the leaked one - albeit better quality and without subtitles.
And, the sneak peek is serving as a warning to fans that this is not your usual comic book-based flick.
What you think you knew about Superman or Batman - or for that matter superheroes - is wrong.
Do you bleed? Who is the bad guy is not clear as while the public sentiment has turned against Superman, Batman comes across very sinister threatening to harm his rival

Backlash: The film indicated a major backlash against Superman who's described as a 'False God'
When Ben Affleck as Batman/Bruce Wayne and Superman, played by Henry Cavill, come together there is not light, only darkness in their relationship.
In this world who is good and who is bad is not clear, as Superman falls out of favour and Batman vows to make the once loved hero accountable.
The voiceover, by Jeremy Irons as Alfred, explains: 'That’s how it starts, the fever, the rage, the feeling of powerlessness, that turns good men…cruel.'

Too much power? Voiceovers at the beginning of the trailer mention the old adage 'Absolute power corrupts absolutely' suggesting that the Man Of Steel has lost his focus

Not one of us: Many people doubt the superhero's motives not just because he has become so powerful, but also because he is not human and his existence questions humanity's place in the universe

The two superheroes finally come face to face at the end of the two-minute dark and teaser,
'You will.'  'Tell me, do you bleed?,' Batman's raspy voice is heard ominously asking Superman.
The highly-anticipated trailer finally gives fans a hint of how the battle between the two superheroes develops and sets the stage for a dramatic showdown.
'Is it really surprising that the most powerful man in the world should be a figure of controversy?' asks a disembodied voice as the camera pans across the city's nighttime skyline.

'Power corrupts and absolutely power corrupts absolutely,' we hear Holly Hunter, who plays a U.S. senator say.
'The world has been so caught up in what he can do that no one has asked what he should do.'
The citizens of Metropolis are heard chanting 'go home' and the words 'False God' are seen spray painted on a statue of the Man Of Steel.
As Superman hovers in the sky with the sun behind him, Lex Luthor, played by Jesse Eisenberg, remarks: 'Devils don’t come from hell beneath us. They come from the sky.'

After Wayne appears to make a decision and don the armored Batsuit, the Batmobile is seen shooting up the streets and there's the iconic shot of Batman atop the tallest building looking out over the city at night.
While it was not how DC Comics and Warner Bros. wanted it, leak certainly got the Internet talking about the superhero showdown.
It might even be stealing some of the Star Wars thunder following on from Disney and Lucas Film's super-hyped release yesterday of the new teaser for Episode VII - The Force Awakens.
But while Star Wars fans only have to wait until December 18 for the next installment in that franchise, Batman and Superman fans have to wait until April 2016 for Dawn Of Justice.

It is one of the most highly anticipated superhero films of all time.

Lasting only 20 seconds, the short video promises to show special screenings of a full length trailer on April 20.
Snyder captioned his short teaser: 'Confirmed 4.20.15 #BatmanvSuperman @IMAX special teaser screening events. Limited space. RSVP http://www.batmanvsupermandawnofjustice.com/imax/'
Meanwhile, last month Jesse Eisenberg's take on villain Lex Luthor emerged in an exclusive picture posted by Entertainment Weekly.

'He's not any of the Lexes that you've seen, that’s for sure,' director Zack Snyder told the publication.
Adding: 'Other than him being a captain of industry and one person to the world and another person to himself. And bald, of course.'
Jesse is said to be so good in the role he is already expected to reprise it in another movie.
The 31-year-old actor's portrayal of the villain in Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice has impressed Warner Bros. and DC Comics bosses so they want him to reprise the role in the forthcoming film based on the Suicide Squad, which will be directed by David Ayer, Deadline reported.

The movie sees a group of supervillains from the comic book world recruited for dangerous missions by the government and stars including Will Smith, Ryan Gosling, Tom Hardy and Margot Robbie are said to be being considered for parts.
So far, Eisenberg is just in talks for the movie as he is already committed to appearing in Now You See Me 2 and is also considering a role in Arms & The Dudes, Todd Phillips' forthcoming stoner comedy.
Once casting is in place and work begins on the film, Suicide Squad is expected to be released in August 2016.
