Freema Agyeman is heart-stoppingly gorgeous on set of The Carrie Diaries in a flowy maxi dress

Call the Doctor! Freema Agyeman is heart-stoppingly gorgeous on set of The Carrie Diaries in a flowy maxi dress

|
She's making her mark on U.S. television after famously playing Doctor Who's companion Martha Jones on the BBC for four years.
And one of the many reasons for Freema Agyeman's success in America so far is her stunning good looks, which were on full display on set of The Carrie Diaries in New York City, on Thursday.
The 34-year-old beauty sported a denim jacket and a flowing ornately printed dress as she ran through her lines in the summer streets.

The British actress plays Larissa Loughlin, a trendy style editor at a large magazine, who takes time away from her party girl lifestyle to mentor Carrie Bradshaw in the prequel series to Sex And The City.
The role already has people buzzing that Freema is bound to become a bigtime television actress with her sexy yet smart turn as the woman who made Carrie into the icon she would later become.
Rehearsing her lines for the CW show, Freema was playful on set as she carried a small plastic water bottle - keeping hydrated in the seasonably warm streets of the BIg Apple.

The burgeoning star took time out from her busy day of filming to pose for memento snaps with adoring fans of the hit show.
But the actress was recently caught up in a recent controversy after the BBC's Doctor Who was accused of being 'racist', alleging that the Doctor's apparent contempt for 'primitive' people, and his passion for cricket as proof of a reactionary ‘whiteness’ pervading his adventures.
But following claims by a group of academics in a new book Doctor Who And Race, fans have rushed to dismiss the criticisms as ‘groundless’ and ‘ridiculous’.

And the BBC hit back claiming that the casting of Freema as the Time Lord's assistant in 2006 and Noel Clarke, who played Mickey Smith for five years is proof that the show was not racist.
Meanwhile, also on set in New York on Thursday was Kate Nowlin and Matt Letscher - who plays Carrie's father Tom Bradshaw.

'I not ready to be in love,' says AnnaSophia Robb as she opens up about kissing Vanessa Hudgens' beau in the Carrie Diaries

    |
AnnaSophia Robb isn't ready for true love.
The Carrie Diaries breakthrough star - who was cast as a young Carrie Bradshaw in the Sex And The City prequel series - claims acting intimate with her co-star Austin Butler is awkward, especially since he's madly in love with his real life girlfriend Vanessa Hudgens and she doesn't feel ready for that kind of commitment just yet.
The 19-year-old actress explained in the latest issue of Seventeen magazine: 'One of the biggest challenges for us is to be sexy and flirty on camera because we just can't take each other seriously any more - kissing on camera isn't that fun ! But he's so cute!

'He talks about Vanessa all the time. They're crazy in love!
'I don't think I'm ready to be that in love. They put so much time into their relationship, and I'm too selfish right now.'
AnnaSophia might have landed one of the most coveted roles on TV, but she claims she wasn't always so lucky or successful and was considered an outsider in high school.

The blonde starlet said: 'I think girls are especially worried about being judged, and when you're in high school, everything seems like a bigger deal than it is. As soon as you're out, it feels like forever ago - zip-a-dee-doo-dah!
'So do what you want, and if people are going to judge you for it, who cares?
'You might not fit in, but that's OK. Everyone thought I was weird in high school!'

She is playing a 16-year-old Carrie Bradshaw so it's vital the stylists get it right.
But going by AnnaSophia Robb's latest look on the set of The Carrie Diaries SJP would mightily approve.
The teen prequel to Sex and the City is due to air very soon and in the run-up Robb has been snapped in myriad 'teen Carrie' get-ups.

The latest, while filming in New York on Wednesday, did not disappoint.
The 19-year-old actress was seen in a flared black and white animal print skirt, fuchsia blazer with pearl buttons and a dusky pink winter jacket.
In a pleasing contrast to the skirt she also wore black opaque polka dot tights.
Wedged patent heels finished the ensemble off and she toted her trademark Carrie bag.

It appeared that Robb was being filmed waving goodbye to her 'dad' before she scampered into the office block where her character is interning.
The hotly anticipated show will debut next January.
It revolves around the exploits of a young Carrie Bradshaw who leaves her Connecticut home for the hustle bustle of New York City where she takes a job as an intern at a law firm, and soon meets a new cast of characters.
Robb has been busy filming scenes for the show wearing a variety of fashionable outfits including a black tulle gown that brings back memories of the tutu Sarah Jessica Parker wore in the original show's opening credits.

Freema Agyeman shows off her bra in The Carrie Diaries season premiere

What would the Doctor say? Freema Agyeman shows off her cleavage in The Carrie Diaries season premiere

    |

Making her debut on U.S. television, Freema Agyeman is certainly giving the American audience something to remember.
Starring in the hotly anticipated Sex & The City prequel, The Carrie Diaries, the British actress plays a style editor in the first episode.
Style maven Freema's character Larissa Loughlin is far cry from her role as Doctor Who's companion Martha Jones.

The first instalment of the teen comedy-drama series aired on The CW channel on Monday night.
16-year-old Carrie Bradshaw - played by AnnaSophia Robb - has just lost her mother and is having to deal with a rebellious younger sister Dorrit and a struggling single father Tom.
But a chance encounter with Larissa in a department store puts Carrie on the fashion track, even if her newly found mentor is somewhat an eccentric.

Freema joins the British-born actors taking U.S. television by storm and will no doubt hope her success could match that of Golden Globe winner Damian Lewis and House star Hugh Laurie.
Even though she only appears in one episode at the moment, this show is certainly the first step on that upward trajectory towards stardom, especially now that Gossip Girl has concluded.
And Freema will be hoping to get noticed for more TV or film roles now that she's made a rather saucy impression.
