She's known for her enviable sartorial displays while on the red carpet and attending cinematic award ceremonies.
And while a glitzy event wasn't in sight, Thandie Newton, 44, still brought her style A-game as she stepped out make-up free after enjoying a bite to eat at Republic restaurant in Los Angeles on Tuesday.
The acclaimed actress put her best fashion foot forward before indulging in a spot of retail therapy, dressed in a semi-sheer floral number.

Crash actress accessorised her fashionable piece with a yellow oversized leather tote while she worked her tresses off her face, to showcase her natural beauty.

The British star plays a human-looking android on HBO's sci-fi series Westworld and has spent much of the time naked on the hit show.
And in an interview with Oprah Winfrey for Variety's Actors On Actors series in June, the actress spoke about how she'd embraced the nudity required and in fact, found it liberating.
'It felt like having that fourth baby because it was a moment of such intense self-affirmation, not for me Thandie, but female power,'  said, who gave birth to her third child just weeks before filming started.
The mother-of-three - who is married to The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel screenwriter Ol Parker - said she has never felt that way about a part before.

'It's ironic that I was standing there stark naked for a lot of it because I felt more in control than I've ever done because I said yes to this,' she explained. 'I said yes, I will stand here with nothing on and I will speak these words.'
She went on: 'I was so committed to this character's trajectory. I felt it had secrets for how we need to survive as a humanity which is to fight for the truth.'
Having attended Comic Con in San Diego in July, Thandie reunited for a panel discussion with co-stars James Marsden, Ed Harris, Rodrigo Santoro, Jeffrey Wright, Luke Hemsworth and Ben Barnes.
And HBO released an intriguing teaser for the show's second season at the event, revealing the fates of many characters in the wake of the program's explosive season one finale.

The preview kicked off to one of the saloon's player pianos, drenched in blood as it spurts out a rendition of Sammy Davis Jr.'s I've Gotta Be Me, before the real version kicks in.
It showed a montage of images occurring presumably after the violent finale, which saw the robots of the futuristic amusement park rebelling after Dolores (Evan Rachel Wood) fired a fatal shot into the head of the park's co-creator, Dr. Robert Ford, played by Anthony Hopkins.
Among the images seen in the preview include Dolores and Teddy (James Marsden) riding horseback while firing their weapons at a fleeing group of human visitors to the park; and Bernard (Jeffrey Wright), who was revealed to have been a droid toward the end of the first season, looking weathered as he stood by a river with a dead tiger in front of him.

In another sequence, the show's resident madam Maeve, played by Thandie, is seen standing inside the park's control center alongside storywriter Lee Sizemore (Simon Quarterman), surrounded by dead bodies left in the wake of her earlier escape with the help of the deadly duo of Hector Escaton (Rodrigo Santoro) and Armistice (Ingrid Bolsø Berdal).
The series ended with a shot of the show's cult hero - The Man in Black, played by Ed Harris - smiling as he's drenched in blood after Ford's unveiling went awry.
The program, which began production last week and is slated to air next year, was the subject of a panel that included showrunners Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy, and stars including Wood, Newton, Wright, Harris, Santoro and Ben Barnes.

The 44-year-old star looked composed in her unusual rose gold shimmering skirt.
Her blouse featured a pattern of birds perching on branches with delicate ruffles across the bodice and at her cuffs.
The mother-of-three donned pretty pastel pink peep-toe t-bar sandals and swept her raven locks back into a high ponytail.

Thandie accentuated her eyes with bronze shadow, eye liner and loaded her lashes with mascara.
The Mission: Impossible II star also sported delicate gold earrings for the event.
The actress is enjoying a successful period, starring in two major series: Westworld and Line of Duty.
She appears in Westworld totally naked but Thandie has insisted the scenes do not make her uncomfortable and in fact the challenge is liberating.

'I was more comfortable naked!' Westworld and Line Of Duty star Thandie admitted she prefers acting totally nude than in 'inviting and provocative' costumes
'I found myself more empowered naked than I did with the saloon outfit on,' she said, comparing her nude scenes to the ones in which she wears frilly, figure-clinging, busty costumes for her sex worker robot character, Maeve Millay.
'I was more comfortable naked because the costume was the most potent objectification of a woman, with the boobs pushed right up, the tiny waist.
'It’s an invitation for sex,' she said while in conversation with Line Of Duty exec Jed Mercurio.
'The fishnet tights, the little heels with the laces... It’s all about sensuality. It’s about eroticism. It’s about "Look, but don’t touch".
'It’s all there to make the invitation for sex as provocative as possible and then the promise of satisfaction is practically just there.'

A staunch advocate for gender and racial equality, the British star explained that acting in the busty costume garnered unwanted, lewd attention on set, while her nude scenes saw her treated much more respectfully.
Her Line Of Duty role, DCI Roz Huntley, sees her tackle an empowering female character in a different way.
'I realised we were going to do something horribly, diabolically real. I found the most horrible shoes and pop socks that I would insist on pulling up so you could see them,' she said of the part, which sees her play a law-enforcing professional mother, whose costumes were far from revealing.
'Every woman will recognise the frustrations,' Thandie said of Roz, who is a mum of two being investigated for possible corruption by AC-12.

'In every role, in every job, every line of work, as a mother you just have to be twice as good and if you’re black you have to be twice as good on top of that,' she went on, addressing race.
'She’s a Senior Investigating Officer and she’s taken five years off, to raise her family and has to claw her way back to where she was. It’s a very real problem, what is most degrading is the sexual abuse that goes on whether it’s verbal or whether it’s physical it’s very tough on women.
'Roz is under a hell of a lot of pressure and the audience sees that pressure and that allows the audience to be judge and jury, which I think is fantastic.'
On top of feminism and racial issues, Thandie has had her own experiences with body image - suffering from bulimia while at Cambridge University, where she studied anthropology.

'I was not perceived as the person that boys wanted to go out with. And that has a very strong effect on a young girl,' she said. 'I was lying in bed and I remember feeling my heart against my rib cage. Because my ribs were so close to my skin it was like my heart was coming out. I thought: "F***, I’m going to die".'
Since dabbling with acting, which she first did when she was 16 years old, she was lured into touching herself on camera for an audition, which the director is said to have used privately at sex parties.

The star admits she joined the cast of Line Of Duty without having seen the previous three seasons or even reading the script for season four.
She said: 'I hadn’t seen any of it before but I had a call from my agent and she said, "If you ever want to work on British television this is the best thing you could ever do."
'I watched it with my husband and I could not stop from episode to episode. I didn’t know what was going to happen in the episodes but I just signed on.'
Filming took place in Northern Ireland and Thandie recalled how she enlisted her children's nanny to help her learn the lengthy mass of lines in the scripts.
'She would dread it every night. I’d ply her with wine, really expensive wine, to sweeten her up, then I’d be going through lines, psyched because of the day of filming. Poor woman, I should have paid her a bit more,' she revealed.
