'We completely trust each other': Mark Wright insists he won't be a victim of the Strictly Curse... as he and fiancee Michelle Keegan are in a 'strong relationship'
Mark Wright has spoken out about the famous Strictly Come Dancing love curse, insisting the topic has never been an issue in his relationship with fiancé Michelle Keegan.
The 27-year-old star – who is one of the favourites to win the BBC competition – has said that despite understanding why relationships have formed in the past, being in a ‘happy, strong, beautiful relationship’ has never led him to question it.
‘We’ve never even discussed it,’ he told Daily Mirror newspaper. ‘I see why people do because of what’s happened in the past.’

‘We’re a happy couple who trust each other. We don’t think about, “Oh, can I trust him?” or “Can’t I trust him?” She’s just like, “Enjoy it, babe - she looks like a great partner”. And that’s it.’
Over the past few years, a number of contestants have gone on to form romantic attachments with their dance partners.

Meanwhile, Mark - who announced his engagement to Michelle in September 2013 - is now gearing up for week 11 after he found himself in the dance-off last week.
The Essex heartthrob and his partner Karen Hauer transported themselves to Las Vegas for a salsa routine that saw the star raise temperatures as he ripped his tight pink shirt open.
He wowed the cheering studio audience as he shimmied and shook to the tones of the Elvis Presley hit Viva Las Vegas. Although he was awarded with overall positive reviews, Mark did receive some criticism for his timing, before he was awarded a respectable 32.
'I'm not naturally talented [at dancing],' he said. 'I never danced before I started this show... And now I love it so much.
‘The quarter final is next week. If I made that I'd probably just faint.'
