Disney 'denies digitally altering Lily James' waist in Cinderella film' after receiving criticism over the princess' tiny size
Walt Disney Pictures has reportedly denied accusations of digitally altering Lily James' waist to make it look smaller in the new Cinderella film.
After the latest trailer for the live-action feature was released last month, many people took to Twitter with comments about the minuscule size of the actress, and even suggested Photoshop had been employed to achieve the look.
'I have a problem with the fact that Cinderella is photoshopped to have the tiniest waist I've ever seen,' tweeted @vixennicks.

That's one tiny waist! Disney have reportedly denied accusations of digitally altering Lily James' waist in Cinderella
Difference: A rep for Lily told Buzzfeed that her tiny waist was achieved by using a corset and not Photoshop
Body image: Many people have suggested that even if the image has not been altered, Cinderella's waist is too small
'Cinderella and her digitally remastered teenie tiny waist is the reason for my confidence issues.'
However, a Disney source told Buzzfeed: 'Lily’s waist hasn’t been altered (in the film or in any stills/marketing materials) – she’s wearing a corset.'
A rep for James also told Buzzfeed that the look was achieved by a corset, but again many people were critical of just how effective the item proved to be at shrinking her waist.
Consistent: Throughout the film, Lily's waist does seem small in her structured dresses
'This isn't a normal human sized waist, right?': Many tweeters were confused by Cindy's proportions
Remake: The film, directed by Kenneth Branagh, is based on Disney's 1950 animated feature
In the trailer, Cinderella's waist is consistently small even when wearing her different dresses; from her day-to-day work dress and mother's pink frock to the famous blue gown magicked up by her Fairy Godmother (Helena Bonham Carter).
'This isn't a normal human sized waist, right?' tweeted actress Sarah Ann Masse.
While Alison Rey wrote: 'Her waist should not be this small. Photoshop or not.'
Lily attended the world premiere of Cinderella on Friday night, at the Berlin Film Festival, and looked more proportionate in real life than as the Disney Princess.
She wore a Dior strapless ball gown, without a corset, and her very own 'glass slippers' by Jimmy Choo.
Cinderella is out in the US on 13 March and in the UK on 27 March, 2015
