The day before the Academy Awards there is another star-studded event, though not quite as ritzy.
Julianne Moore led the red carpet parade at the Independent Spirit Awards which took place in Santa Monica on Sunday afternoon.
The 54-year-old actress up for the coveted  Best Female Lead award no doubt made others appearing at the event green with envy as she donned a sleeveless emerald-coloured number.
