The Emmerdale actress let her caramel tresses fall straight and sleek down past her shoulders in an on-trend long bob.
And she maintained her high-glamour look with dramatic smoky eye makeup and a dusky taupe lipstick.
Gemma also kept her look timeless and classy as she opted for minimal accessories apart from a single silver bracelet and a patent black clutch bag, which she perfectly coordinated with her peep-toe shoes.

However, Gemma wasn't the only soap star to grace the red carpet for the charity event.
She was also joined by Eden Taylor Draper who plays Belle Dingle in Emmerdale.
Despite being one of the show's younger characters, 18-year-old Eden sizzled on the red carpet in a figure hugging velvet dress.

Eden kept things classy with a high neck but added a touch of edge to her ensemble with a thigh high split.
She also cleverly coordinated her accessories as she toted a large wet-look clutch bag and delicate ankle strap heels.
Meanwhile her long golden locks cascaded in effortlessly natural waves around her shoulders.

And while she styled her blonde tresses into glamorous curls, Michelle kept things minimal in the accessory department with just a plain, nude clutch bag.
In contrast, the show's Laura Norton, who plays Kerry Wyatt, cut an ethereal figure in white lace and chiffon.
She put on an incredibly busy display in the plunging gown and highlighted her cleavage with a dainty Vivienne Westwood pendant.

And although she kept her hair simple and straight, the star added some drama to her look with some vivid red nails.
Sophie Powels, 27, on the other hand, went for a more bohemian look for the charity gala in a patterned maxi dress with thigh-split detailing.
And she kept her makeup striking with heavy contouring and silver eye-shadow, which was topped off with a pretty peach lipstick.

Once Upon a Smile was founded in August 2011, by actors Daniel Jillings and Danny Miller.
Their website states: 'There were many reasons each of them had for setting up a charity, for Danny it was the tragic loss of a dear friend in 2010, former Emmerdale producer Gavin Blyth, who left behind his wife and young son.
'Gavin’s death highlighted the need for support for families that have lost a loved one. It soon became apparent that other than family and friends, there was a lack of support for families after the death of a loved one.
'We identified many support agencies if a loved one was ill or had a terminal illness, but nothing for the family after the death.
'At this point we made our decision, the new charity was going to provide support to families that had suffered the loss of a loved one, and was going to specifically be an "after care" for these families.'

'They will remain friends and are focusing on their little boy': Emmerdale couple Charley Webb and Matthew Wolfenden announce split

|
Emmerdale stars Charley Webb and Matthew Wolfenden have announced they have split up.
The pair, who play Debbie Dingle and David Metcalfe in the long-running ITV soap about rural life, have a son called Buster, who was born in 2010.
A spokeswoman for the show said: 'Charley Webb and Matthew Wolfenden have confirmed that they have separated.'

Matthew thanked fans for their kind words on his Twitter page on Wednesday and posted: 'Thank you so much for all your lovely messages. Unfortunately these things happen, and it's very sad. Buster is our main priority always. X'
The pair, who got engaged in 2009, are both expected to remain with the hit show which celebrated 40 years on air last year.

Wolfenden won reality show Dancing on Ice in 2012 and that year he said the pair had been too busy to plan their wedding.
At the time he had said: 'We don't disagree about what we want to do for our wedding. But up 'til now, we haven't had a minute to plan it.'
Webb's brother, Jamie Lomas, is married to Coronation Street star Kym Marsh and recently signed up to appear in EastEnders.
But the couple are reportedly 'living apart' and going through a trial separation while they reassess their marriage.
Neither Kim not Jamie have commented on the claims.

Kym Marsh leads the ITV soapstar pack in black to the Injured Jockey Awards in Manchester

Velvet Crush! Kym Marsh leads the ITV soapstar pack in black to the Injured Jockey Awards in Manchester

|

It seemed to be a competition to see who could blend into the darkness on Friday night as a slew of female soapstars opted for black outfits for the Injured Jockey Awards.
But the velvet texture of Kym Marsh's bodycon dress made sure her enviable figure was clear to see.
The raven-haired Coronation Street star shimmered in the moonlight on the cold Friday night.

Continuing the velvet theme, Kym held a silver clutchbag and kept her jewellery limited to a few matching bracelets on each arm.
Showing off her tanned legs, the actress finished off her look with some black peep toe heels.
Sheree Murphy opted for some comforting fabric as part of her outfit too, wearing a black fur coat over a black dress, and on her feet, towering ankle boots that blended into her opaque tights.

Her Emmerdale co-star Charley Webb looked sultry in black too, but allowed a flash of her leg to show through a thigh-high slit in her slash-neck maxi dress.
Again, she wore heels just as high as Sheree, but the two were still a couple of inches shorter than their beaus.
Australian footballer Harry Kewell accompanied his wife Sheree wearing jeans, trainers and a blazer jacket.

Charley's other half - and Coronation Street co-star - Matthew Wolffenden wore jeans too, but his buttoned up shirt, waistcoat and matching jacket complete with handkerchief was arguably more formal than the former Liverpool player's.
Ian Puleston-Davies was far more dapper than both men, wearing a black tuxedo for the event in Manchester.
But he was to be outdone by Adam Thomas, who arrived in a 3-piece pinstripe suit and electric blue tie, with a pretty blonde on his arm.

She arrived with Jack P. Shepherd who channeled Rat Pack cool in a black tuxedo, skinny tie and silver handkerchief in his left-hand jacket pocket.
Altogether the ITV1 soapstars were there to lend their support to the Injured Jockey Fund at the Midland Hotel in Manchester.
