Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice trailer

'Tell me, do you bleed?' Warner Bros. is forced to release official Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice trailer early after bootleg version leaked online

Even twice the superhero strength was not enough to combat super fan excitement.
Late Friday, Warner Bros. was forced to go on the offensive and release the trailer for the highly anticipated Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice after a bootleg version hit the internet.
The first proper look at the film was supposed to be unveiled amid plenty of fanfare at select IMAX theatres on Monday.

However late Thursday night, a shaky video taken using a cell phone or handheld camera was posted online showing a screening of the trailer with Portuguese subtitles.
It came hours after the film's director Zack Snyder posted a high quality 20 second video clip and tweeted details of how fans could access the special full trailer screenings on April 20.
While the studio was able to have the leaked version quickly pulled from YouTube, the damage was done and it was shared by thousands of fans across various internet sites.

The official trailer was identical to the leaked one - albeit better quality and without subtitles.
And, the sneak peek is serving as a warning to fans that this is not your usual comic book-based flick.
What you think you knew about Superman or Batman - or for that matter superheroes - is wrong.
Do you bleed? Who is the bad guy is not clear as while the public sentiment has turned against Superman, Batman comes across very sinister threatening to harm his rival

Backlash: The film indicated a major backlash against Superman who's described as a 'False God'
When Ben Affleck as Batman/Bruce Wayne and Superman, played by Henry Cavill, come together there is not light, only darkness in their relationship.
In this world who is good and who is bad is not clear, as Superman falls out of favour and Batman vows to make the once loved hero accountable.
The voiceover, by Jeremy Irons as Alfred, explains: 'That’s how it starts, the fever, the rage, the feeling of powerlessness, that turns good men…cruel.'

Not one of us: Many people doubt the superhero's motives not just because he has become so powerful, but also because he is not human and his existence questions humanity's place in the universe

The two superheroes finally come face to face at the end of the two-minute dark and teaser,
'You will.'  'Tell me, do you bleed?,' Batman's raspy voice is heard ominously asking Superman.
The highly-anticipated trailer finally gives fans a hint of how the battle between the two superheroes develops and sets the stage for a dramatic showdown.
'Is it really surprising that the most powerful man in the world should be a figure of controversy?' asks a disembodied voice as the camera pans across the city's nighttime skyline.

Iconic imagery: The movie trailer promises while the story deviates from how many fans see their heroes, it will still drawn on each character's long cinematic history

'Power corrupts and absolutely power corrupts absolutely,' we hear Holly Hunter, who plays a U.S. senator say.
'The world has been so caught up in what he can do that no one has asked what he should do.'
The citizens of Metropolis are heard chanting 'go home' and the words 'False God' are seen spray painted on a statue of the Man Of Steel.
As Superman hovers in the sky with the sun behind him, Lex Luthor, played by Jesse Eisenberg, remarks: 'Devils don’t come from hell beneath us. They come from the sky.'

After Wayne appears to make a decision and don the armored Batsuit, the Batmobile is seen shooting up the streets and there's the iconic shot of Batman atop the tallest building looking out over the city at night.
While it was not how DC Comics and Warner Bros. wanted it, leak certainly got the Internet talking about the superhero showdown.
It might even be stealing some of the Star Wars thunder following on from Disney and Lucas Film's super-hyped release yesterday of the new teaser for Episode VII - The Force Awakens.
But while Star Wars fans only have to wait until December 18 for the next installment in that franchise, Batman and Superman fans have to wait until April 2016 for Dawn Of Justice.
