She was due to perform on the West End at 7.30pm after an afternoon television performance.
And since completing her 100th stage appearance for Made In Dagenham, Gemma Arterton can't be accused of skimping on the workload.
Though it wasn't Gemma show schedule that urged to stop by Mel & Sue's new daytime TV show on Tuesday, when she spoke out in support of the campaign for equal women's pay.

The former Bond Girl appears in the Essex-based musical, which follows the story of the Ford sewing machinist strike back in 1968 over the equal pay dispute.
Speaking to presenters, Mel Giedroyc and Sue Perkins, Gemma explained her passion for fight when she said: 'This subject matter is so important and I'm so passionate about it.
'At the end of the show I have a big speech and I have to convince everybody to stand up for women's rights and some people stand up during the speech.'
'I've seen men crying and women saying "go on" and that gives me the biggest buzz.'

Gemma was a classic, English rose beauty in her pretty pink dress, with the presenters even commenting on the ladylike manner in which she perched on the edge of their sofa beside fellow guests Chris Packham and Michaela Strachan.
She created a chic contrast with cobalt-coloured heels but kept her image minimal with just a few gold bracelets to accessorise her ensemble.
The brunette wore her shiny locks short and curled under at her nape in an elegant fashion, matching a rose-coloured lip to her high-neck dress.

The actress, who once played Bond Girl Strawberry Fields in Quantum Of Solace, has made her feelings on the equal pay dispute clear.
Speaking Alan Carr before Christmas, Gemma spoke about the aid of social media in assisting the ongoing battle.
She said: ‘Feminism is in fashion, as made by Beyonce and Taylor Swift, now that they’re feminists, everyone else is [laughs]’.
The 28-year-old actress was one of many at the Houses of Parliament in London to highlight the gender pay gap, which Labour claimed resulted in women earning £210,000 less over a lifetime than men.
Speaking about being in Parliament, Gemma admitted: ‘It was cold. Yeah, it’s huge – it’s very cavernous, The Great Hall and everything - it’s so old obviously, so it’s all stone and wood.
‘But no, it was great, I wish I could have explored a bit further, gone off track, nosed around a bit, but it’s beautiful inside.’
