Can you spot the cat? Owners ask the internet to find their elusive pet in this photo + more sneaky cats

So can YOU spot the cat? Owners ask the internet to find their elusive pet in this photo (but don’t be surprised if challenge leaves you stumped)

  • Owner of tabby called Pedro posted a photo online challenging people to see if they can spot him
  • Many were left scratching their heads and complained of 'impossible' task as he seemed to be totally hidden
  • Other eagle-eyed people were able to spy the mysterious moggy in 'seconds'
Cats are notoriously elusive but people have been left puzzled - and even annoyed - over one pet's whereabouts in a photo of a kitchen.
The owner of a tabby called Pedro posted a photo of the mysterious moggy online, asking if anyone could spot him hiding among the 'kitchen maze' of their 'tiny flat'.
Uploading the snap to website Bored Panda, the anonymous poster said: 'If you have a cat or two or even more, you might know that cats have the ability to disappear whenever they want – like ninjas.

'They simply fit into everything! And suddenly, they pop up like nothing happened.
'Me and my wife actually live in a pretty tiny flat with our two fur-friends and one of them – his name is Pedro – still can hide himself that good, you won’t find him straight away.
'Yesterday he did it again and after checking the wardrobe and the bed and the couch and the bathroom I found him somewhere in the kitchen.'
It didn't take long before users of the website were left scratching their heads trying to spot Pedro, who had hidden himself behind a collection of liquor bottles on top of a cupboard.
Some people on Facebook found Pedro easily, with Sofia Pispitsos finding him in 'about five to six seconds' and Michael Dennis Murphy 'four'

The post was later shared on Facebook, which left even more people baffled - but, thankfully, there was a hint included in the original post for people who couldn't see him.
Some eagle-eyed users boasted that they had found the moggy in 'seconds', with Sofia Pispitsos saying it took her five to six, while Michael Dennis Murphy needed just four.
Deborah Padgett commented: 'Found him! Can't hide from me you cute thing.'
But the visual puzzle seemed to leave some Facebook users a bit annoyed, complaining that they had been set a 'near impossible task'

Bored Panda user Dee Briggs said: 'I think I can see what could be an ear sticking out from the bottle of, probably whisky, on top of the cupboards. Can't be absolutely sure though.'
Maya Aladdin added: 'Couldn't find him until I saw the hint. Which means I failed! He is pretty good at hiding, I give him that.'
Meanwhile other frustrated people complained that they had been sent an 'almost impossible task' and that you needed 'x-ray vision' to be able to locate the grey and white feline.

Bralee Pichaiya said it was 'almost impossible', while Leonardo Brandao Rodrigues quipped: 'To bad I didn't turned [sic] my x-ray vision'.
Brittanie Priest was also angered: 'You can't see him in the picture because he is hiding behind stuff. I can't believe you have a post on this. So stupid.'
Kelly BG added: 'Well, that was stupid. Don't bother clicking - you can't see the cat in that stupid photo.'

Jennifer Barnes said: 'Yeah, look for the cat that is sitting behind something. You need x-ray vision to see the car. The shadow of a cat ear could be anything. I saw a picture of a cat on their shelf. That'll do.'
But others simply sympathised with the owners' ongoing struggle to locate his Houdini-like pet around his flat.
Aly Lopez said on Bored Panda: 'I've "lost" my cats a few times, we're looking like crazy for them all over the house, calling their name, looking in their usual spots and the cats don't even make a sound. We probably pass by them several times and they're just there silently mocking us!'
Susanna Vesna agreed: 'I thought I saw an ear sticking out behind the bottle on the top right. Happens to me too. Living in a studio and my cat somehow manages to disappear. Doesn't help that my furniture and cat are both white!'

It's not the first time photos of cats hiding have swept the internet - in November, a selection of mind-boggling snaps (above) emerged from webiste Sad And Useless.
The photos were about as close to a cat lovers version of Where's Wally as you can get.
Blended into the background, thee camouflaged moggies are difficult to tell apart from their surroundings. Disguised by rubbish tips, woodland and hidden among clothing, these feline friends are almost impossible to spot.
