Speaking to the Daily Mirror's Clemmie Moodie, the pair explained that their 'friendship' is the main factor in their success.
'It's got to be our friendship. We've known each other for a long time, we've been through a lot - and not necessarily on screen but off screen as well, with babies and life.'And while the duo are certainly just the best of friends, the pair revealed that they know as much about each other as their partners do.
'I can't think there's anything that Holly knows that I haven't told my wife Steph,' Phillip explained, while Holly agreed he knows more about her than 'most people'.

But at the end of the day their friendship is equally remarkable,as in their seventh year on the show together, the duo revealed they have never once argued.
Almost in disbelief at the fact themselves - given they've worked together on ITV programmes since 2005 - Phillip said: 'We have never, ever bickered. Or even come close to bickering.'
And their secret formula to a great on-screen match has helped them land a string of high-profile interviews in recent year, including last week's exclusive spot with Leonardo DiCaprio.
An illusive figure for interview at the best of the times, the duo managed to charm the five-time Oscar nominee during a video interview on Thursday.

Asking the question on everyone's lips, Phillip and Holly addressed the 41-year-old's run of bad luck at the Academy Awards.
Pressing him about whether 2016 will be his year to walk away with the Best Actor gong, he said: 'I do know that it’s completely beyond my control at this point. It’s interesting, because that’s not why you do the work, you know?
'You do the work because you love making movies and you want to look back and have a filmography that you’re proud of.'
However he did admit that it would be the 'icing on the cake', as Leonardo added: 'When you’re on set you have to give everything that you possibly can while you’re there but of course being recognised by your peers and all that other stuff that happens is kind of the cherry on the cake so to speak.'
